"How is the experiment going?"
Rosa asked as she came into the lab, standing next to Jaqar. Jaqar glanced briefly at the woman next to him and then went back to looking at Cale in the water in a large tank.
"As usual," he said and shrugged. "Neither dying nor making any new progress."
As harsh as his words sounded, he was right. Since they started their chaos experiments, Cale was the only subject they had gotten any results from. He was born with it, and even now, at eight years old, he was the only one who could endure so much pain.
"Do we really have to go on with him?" Rosa asked, unable to help showing her discomfort. Jaqar grinned at her.
"Why? Do you feel sorry for your child?"
