Unlike the crowds outside, the interior of the Supreme Court was very quiet. So quiet that the sound of footsteps on the marble floor echoed off the walls. Escorted by S-ranked hunters, Cale entered the courtroom where the trial was taking place.
In the center of what resembled a round auditorium stood a wooden chair. When the attendant directed Cale to it, Cale sat down under the weight of the stares. He fidgeted uncomfortably a few times in the rather hard wooden chair.
Cale carefully analyzed the people looking down on him. He recognized some of them from when Fredrich had told him about the families. Cale saw Helena and Douglas sitting among them. When he avoided making eye contact with Helena, he saw three people sitting in the high seats in front of him.
They were the judges who would preside over the trial, and it would be presided over by the heads of elite families. They were Kane Heart, Olivia Duncan, and Fred Donovan.
