Amaris looked at the wall where the portal had closed and then at the lights on the walls spreading into the room. She recited the spell again, but as she expected, the portal door did not open again. Amaris frowned and recited the spell again, but the result was the same as before.
She didn't know what to do. She was cornered in every sense. Amaris ran to the door as she saw the light spreading across the room, coming together as if to form a shape. The door had closed last time, but she would try to open it.
As she expected, the door was closed. No matter how hard she tried to open it, it would not open. She took out her sword from her waist wrapped it in flames and threw the chain at the door. The flames on the chained sword did not even leave a scratch on the door.
"Come on... come on..." she kept muttering as she attacked the door with both her magic and her sword.
