When Cale went back inside, he locked eyes with Dante, who was sitting on the couch and staring at him. Cale had already realized he was awake, so he took the seat across from him and sat down.
"What is this place?"
Cale looked at him calmly as his cold voice reached his ears. Cale didn't understand why Dante was so cold, unlike his previous life. He hadn't even treated him this way before.
Then he suddenly remembered something. Cale had saved Dante when he first met him. He must have developed a sense of gratitude towards him back then and their friendship had grown out of that good feeling.
But in this life, Cale hadn't saved him, in fact, he had gotten in his way and prevented him from doing what he wanted. Now Cale understood better why Dante had treated him this way.
"This is the base me and my friends use."
"Base, huh..." he frowned. "Who are you? I know your name isn't Raven Rivera, so don't you dare lie to me!"
