Gotem Town had become a completely quarantined area due to the growing epidemic. Entrances were strictly controlled and there was no way out of the town. Cale looked at the insignia on the hunters standing guard and saw that they were Union hunters.
He went around the back to avoid them and tried to find the entrance to the tunnel Perez had mentioned earlier. Heathcliff and the others must not have moved into this lab yet.
'I wonder how Reyna is doing?'
Given that he had taken Reyna with him when he had found Perez, he knew she was in a different place now.
"I hope they're both okay," he muttered as he found the entrance to the tunnel.
He had used the element of air to remove the excess soil to reveal the entrance hatch hidden under the ground. When the wind blew the dirt off the hatch, Cale lifted it.
As the remaining soil fell into the tunnel, Cale stepped inside. He used the ladder to climb down, closing the trapdoor behind him.
