Amaris entered the building where the funeral was being held, while the rain was in full swing outside. She stood in front of the coffin holding a white chrysanthemum flower. She looked with tears in her eyes at Sylvie lying in the coffin as if she were asleep.
After placing her flower next to the other flowers in front of the coffin, she sat down next to her friends. Her mother sat in the front. Her father and brother were trapped in the dungeon. Her mother tried to hide this information.
Since no one else in the family knew that her brother had returned, her mother had lied that her father had traveled outside the human land. How much they believed this lie was unknown, but no one questioned it.
After Cale left, Amaris felt uneasy because of one problem after another. She felt a big storm approaching.
