"Motherfucker!" shouted Adrian in fright as he jumped backwards.
Adrian's sudden scream attracted his teammates' attention as they also backed away and stared at the right path vigilantly.
"What's the matter, Adrian? What did you see?" Tatsuya asked in a low voice, hoping to not attract the attention of whatever thing Adrian saw.
Though it seems futile, given that Adrian sure had screamed quite loudly.
"I-It was the same ant-like monster from before, though it's a single one," Adrian stammered, while taking deep breaths to calm his nerves.
At his words, the team members sprang into action, preparing their Elemental spells and focusing their attention on the path ahead, ready to strike the beast at a moment's notice. Seconds ticked by, and with no movement, a wave of anxiety washed over them.
Adrian, carefully recalling the sight he'd witnessed, hesitated. "It...it was covered in blood," he said doubtfully, "I think it might be dead."
