John and Maria were walking towards the Academy's exit, when John suddenly froze upon the sight of the person standing near the gate.
"Alice!?" John softly muttered to himself with eyes wide in terror and surprise as if suddenly remembering something.
Then, similarly like a soldier who has given up on life and running towards his death, John just sighed and started walking towards Alice, his sister who was giving both John and Maria a eerie smile all the time.
"Hey sis, what's up!?"
"..." Alice stares
"Sis?"
"..." Alice stares.
"Alright, I am sorry". Seeing that Alice is not responding to him, He did the only thing that he can think of. He bowed and apologized.
"Ara, Brother why are you apologizing? Did you do something wrong?." Finally Alice responded but with a sarcastic voice.
"Well, I should have known that you will be waiting for me after the Awakening ceremony ended. And knowing that I shouldn't have let my own sister wait for me. So please forgive me for this mistake!". John pleaded his big sister while making a guilty face.
Seeing me apologising, she also quickly forget the little grievance she had. Actually, she was not really angry with him until she saw him with another girl.
The thing that made her angry is the fact that John forget about her own sister for a girl who He just met.
"Alright, alright stop making that face. It's embarassing, I forgive you." Alice quickly said to John who was still bowing to her earning weird glances from passerby.
"Thanks big sis, you're the bestđź‘Ť". John started praising her to improve her mood even further.
"Stop the drama and tell me who's the girl?". Alice asked the question that was bothering her from the start.
"Oh, She, Her name is Maria Grace." John introduced Maria to Alice who was scrutinizing her.
"Hmm...Grace I haven't heard of that surname ever before!?"
"Yeah, That's because–".Before Maria could explain,
"So, you must not be from the nobility? Am I right?". Alice asked with a bit of serious tone in her voice.
"Yes, I am a commoner and doesn't belong to nobility Miss Alice". Maria answered while keeping her head a bit low as a testimonial for her status infront of us.
"Don't you dare tell me that, you tried to seduce my brother to climb the social ladder huh?". Alice asked with a threatening tone to Maria who was now trembling in fear.
"No no no, I wouldn't dare to do that." Maria hurriedly answered so as to not offend Alice, as She knows that her life will be literal hell, if she offended someone like my sister.
"Come on sis, stop bullying her. She isn't one of those greedy ones!". John defended Maria from his sister's further scrutiny.
Hearing John defend a girl he met today, Alice squinted her eyes and looked at Maria carefully: " Hmm, She do is beautiful and pretty. Are you interested in her brother?". Alice asked John curiously.
"W-what!?" Maria started blushing at such a direct question and peeked at John to see his reaction.
"Well, atleast not yet."John answered truthfully.
"Whatever, It's your choice. Now, tell me how was your awakening ceremony?."
"Huh, you didn't know?"John was honestly surprised that his sister doesn't yet knows about his monstrous awakening in the ceremony.
"Well, I wanted to know it by your own mouth. That's why I didn't enquire with anyone about your talents".
"Well, you will be surprised after hearing it". John proudly said.
"Really, then tell me, since you are acting so proud it must be pretty good." Alice asked with curiousity shining through her eyes.
"Nope, now you will only know it when we reach home". John mischievously said.
"Mou~ I am your big sister, you have to tell me or I will get really angry". Alice acted spoiled to make me spill the beans but I ain't falling for her act.
"No means no. Moreover, it will be more exciting to see your reaction in the home."
"John, Please won't you fulfill this small request of your big sister." Alice continued to give John puppy eyes.
"Hmmm....No". John acted like he was thinking about revealing the surprise but then teased her again by rejecting her.
"You brat, trying to fool me. Come here so I can give you your punishment ". Alice got angry upon being teased and called him but John has already started running towards exit.
"Bye, Maria see you later." After waving to Maria, he whistles and calls, "Nella!!".
It was not even 30 seconds later that a luxurious carriage appeared and stopped infront of John. From that luxurious carriage, a mature black- haired woman wearing a French maid dress stepped down and bowed to him.
"Master"
"Hmm, Nella you are looking beautiful as always". John stepped upon the carriage after complementing Nella which is then followed by Alice and finally Nella stepped upon the carriage and the carriage moved towards county.
Meanwhile Inside the carriage, Nella immediately stands to the back of her master and started massaging his shoulders.
"Congratulations Master for your successful awakening."
"Thanks Nella, I should atleast have that much of talents to have a prodigy like you as my maid. Don't you think so?" John asked Nella.
"Your talents doesn't matter in this case my dear master. I only exist to serve you regardless of how talented I am!!" Nella submissively answered.
"Good girl"
"Wait wait wait, Nella even you know the results of John's Awakening ceremony!?". Alice asked in disbelief.
"Yes Miss Alice, Master awakening was perfect!". Nella answered with fanatism in her voice.
"Then tell me the results of his awakening!"
"It was–"
"No Nella, Don't tell her". Before Nella could answer Alice's query, John her master stopped her.
"I am older than John so I have more authority than him. Tell me the results Nella". Alice commanded in authoritative voice but unfortunately for her,
"I am sorry Miss Alice but I will not disobey Master's order even If Sir Count himself told me to." Nella apologized to Alice showcasing her complete loyalty to me.
"Tsk"
After 3 hrs of Journey we reached our mansion.
