"Go out, just the two of us? Like a date?"
"Y-yeah, like a date. Just the two of us is their anything you want to do?" I ask, embarrassed.
"There is a concert the singer Liv will be performing here in a week. I'd love to go. You may like their. Music also. She incorporates magic with it." She explains, winking.
I agree with her, and before I knew it was the day of our date. Julian drives us to this large stadium. I pay for our entry, and we grab some glow sticks. The building bursting with thousands of people.
We sit down, seeing a tall woman come onto stage with rainbow colored eyes and hair that was half black, half pink. People start screeching from the seats.
(Oh, she must be extremely liked. I've never been to one of these before.)
"How's it going, my lovely it's me, Liv. Are you all ready to party tonight?" Cheers burst from the crowd, people screaming that they love her. Holographic speakers appearing all around the seats, neon music symbols appearing around the stadium.
"That's what I like to hear. So, without further ado, let's get this party started!" She starts singing and dancing while people wave their glow sticks as she rocks out.
Dancing, singing, instruments playing on their own, the music blaring, making our hearts pound.
She starts to walk in the air on a multicolored sea, through piano. Singing about her unique awakening and abilities.
The song was soon over Julian, and I buy some hot coco and walk around the night streets. My arm is around her. We take in the scenes in the city.
"How'd you like the concert?" We both ask simultaneously, laughing.
"I loved it. I always liked her songs, and her shows are always so colorful and lively," Julian says.
" It amazed me hearing her sing, learning she awakened. It's surprising to me she only awakened the power to sing and use magic related to it."
"Thank you Nux. it's been a long time since I felt this way." She says as our eyes lock under the Moonlight.
We slowly lean into each other and kiss before heading home for the night and falling asleep.
I wake up to the sound of Julian's phone going off.
"Yeah, it's been awhile Frank.... go to the guild to get another mission since we haven't done one recently. Sure no problem.... yeah I know it's that time of the year I'll bring Nux." She says while getting dressed.
I get dressed myself, and we head to the guild, arriving. She tells me to go in without her as she has to grab something.
Walking inside, I see everyone gathered around and candles lit.
"Happy birthday, Nux!" the guild members yell. Frank grabbing my shoulder.
"It's been a year since you've arrived though the portal. It's cause for celebration. We also congratulated and gave gifts to Wiggly already."
We all talk and sit around everyone present. Wiggly, Ricker, Travis, Jason, and Willace. Blowing out and eating some delicious cake, Piro and Frank hands me a present.
I unwrap it, unveiling a staff made of Deximite with some kind of crystal in the center I feel mana from.
"I had extra Deximite from the dungeon and Piro helped me pay for it to be made." They say with a grin on their faces.
"Nux, here is the gift from the guild. Go on and take it." Willace hands me a sheet of paper that states that I'm allowed to live among humans, no longer needing to hide my race. So I take out my contacts and magic wig.
My eyes shining a bright golden tint and a full halo above my head appears. The people around clap as they get to see the real me.
Julian appears behind me. "Lastly, this is my gift. Open it up." I open it revealing a ring half black, half white and a new high-quality dagger.
"That ring should improve dark and light magic even though you can use dark magic right now it maybe useful in the future I hope you like it."
We party for the majority of the night, getting a little drunk in the progress.
"You guys take the spare room upstairs your to drunk to drive. We'll talk about the mission tomorrow when you wake up." The party heads to bed for the following day.
Waking up Frank Julian Piro and I head down to the hall, eating some breakfast while we are down there.
Willace heads down and sits at the table with us. "So I got a notification the other day this S rank hunter has requested your team specifically to help him. You see his team was sucked into an S rank portal and assumed dead. Two A rank squads where sent and perished on the job so he requested you all to go. He'll participate also in conquering the dungeon. What do you say?"
"What's the catch if so many people haven't come back? There has to be something your not telling us."
"Unlike the other S rank dungeon you all entered, which wasn't really an abnormal dungeon, this one definitely is. Do you know how I said his team got sucked into it? Large black tentacles pulled his team in. So are you guys still in for the job?" Julian turns to look at the group. We all nod our heads.
"Alright, where are we headed?"
"Antartica!" He exclaims loudly.
