"wh-what? Kill me, why would you want to do that, and you know you might not be able to consider what happened the first time." I reply nervously (I don't know, but I likely can still die)
"True, but we don't know the extent of that. However, I'm more curious about your existence, and I have an angel working in my squad. Maybe he can come over and check you out. Oh, right, I forgot. By the way, my name is Julian. What's your name?" Julian asks.
"Name? What's a name?" I ask.
"That's right, you were born without any other Nephalems, so you wouldn't have a name. A name is what others call you. We will have to give you one eventually." After Julian and I had this conversation, we went to bed. I was able to have the coach. It's the first time I slept in such a comfortable place. Then morning rolled around the corner.
"Hey, I'm going to go out to meet with my squad today, and maybe they will want to come over, so behave yourself and do not leave the house." Julian said, and so I spent the day wandering around the place I was staying.
New things I've never seen kept surprising me such as a magical box that talks and displays people. Before I knew it, night rolled around, and I hear the door unlocking. Julian and three others enter.
"Alright guys, this is the Nephalem I was talking about. These three are my squad members, our tank Frank, our supporting mage Trex, and last but not least, our Angel healer, Piro." Julian announced. The three look at me perplexed as if I was strange even for a Nephalem.
"Hey Julian, you do know we Nephalems can't understand humans until we evolve, correct? Unless this one can, in which case he truly is an abnormality." Piro explains.
"Yeah, it was odd for me understanding what those men were saying as they cut me open." I reply.
"I think we should let him join us on portal purges. We will need to hide him, so it's best to do the dungeons at night when security is at it's most vulnerable." Frank tells the group.
"Agreed, he needs a lot of surveillance and," Trex gets cut off by the news station.
"Breaking news, the Wigglers that appeared from the F-rank dungeon the other day seem to still be alive. We are finding hunters to deescalate the situation."
I gasp. "We have to go save Wiggly and his friends." I tell the group.
"Is Wiggly one of those wigglers?" Julian asked.
"Yes, he's the one that's black and red stripped." I replied
"Alright, Nux, we will go capture them and bring your friend Wiggly back." I look at Julian, confused. "That's what your name's gonna be. We need to call you something. Anyway, we will be right back with your friend. Stay put while we're away." They leave, and I wait patiently for a few hours to pass by. I hear the door creek as my little buddy slithers his way in.
"Wiggly, how are you, bud?" I say as I pat my lap, and he slithers his way onto it.
"It seems you all are close." Julian says as the group enters the room. "Luckily, wigglers aren't dangerous unless they evolve, so you have to keep an eye on him they took the rest into captivity." She explained.
"May I ask you some questions about the dungeon you grew up in and some things about yourself now that you two are reunited?" Piro inquired.
"Sure, but I'm not sure how much help I can be." I responded.
"The questions I have are as follows. What was the area you were born in like? How were you born? How do you know the Wigglers?" Piro asked
"Well, the area I was born in was pitch black and cold. The earliest thing I remember is coming out of some black liquid and started crawling around. I had to drink that liquid to survive. After a long time, the Wigglers came out from that liquid. Wiggly was the first of his kind. The liquid was starting to dry out, and we were malnourished. So when we saw a bright light and so we went to it and that's how we all ended up here. That's about all I know." I told the group.
"That's fascinating not just you but the wigglers were born abnormally you see Wigglers have two parents that reproduce however Nephalems have a single parent as they have a chance of giving birth anytime since Nephalems have both genders and give birth at random that's why most of us have a single parent as it doesn't require two and so you and those Wigglers being born out of some liquid is really strange and may explain your regeneration abilities and human understanding.
We angels have a prophecy about an angel with extraordinary regenerative abilities who will kill the demon king. You could be that prophesied one. However, the demons have a similar prophecy the other way around with the chosen demon killing the holy hand." Explained Piro.
"Ah, that may explain the regeneration and stuff, but still, what will I be doing now on since I'm stuck in your world?" I asked.
"Well, like we mentioned earlier before getting cut off by the news, we need you under surveillance in case you evolve so since we have a dungeon we are exploring tomorrow we will do it at night so you can come and watch us at work." Trex replied while smiling.
"That reminded me I was gonna ask how do you all fight is it with those weapons that were used on me and the wigglers when we left the dungeon? I don't think they would be that useful if there are higher ranked dungeons, as you've said." I ask while looking at the team.
"Did Julian not tell you the most simple thing? When dungeons opened up about twenty years ago people started getting strange abilities.
Some got very good at combat in certain categories while others got magical abilities to fight off the beast and in so these groups of people where called hunters the only other people allowed to be hunters are other creatures that aren't human such as Angels, Elves, Dwarves and the like.
Now since thats all cleared up lets get prepared for tommorow" Piro replied and then the group left to go home I had trouble sleeping as I anxiously waited for the next day in which I'll be going into a dungeon.
