Chapter 1 - Chapter 0: "Ripple in Fate."

"We will soon be leaving."

Celina was gazing out the window at their mansion's garden when a formal voice was heard from the entrance of her room.

To that voice, the girl, Celena asked, "Is father in his office?"

Her lips were natural red as if the blood itself, her black hair which touched her thighs were silken like. The maid could only admire those features and her neutral skin hidden by the black robe she was wearing.

"His majesty has been in his office since evening."

The maid recalled the events that had happened is last few months as she replied to her majesty's daughter, princess Celena, who was clad in a black robe.

The kingdom of sapiens was currently facing political instability. Following this month, all the powerful people had started getting mysteriously assassinated. Even the king could be dead at this moment, looking at how other people had died in most unbelievable circumstances. As the result, the king, Kairos Hesper, had urgently arranged for his daughter to be sheltered in the Neighbour elf kingdom's royal palace. A place yet to be engulfed by raging flames of mysterious instability in all other five great kingdom.

"There is still some time before departure I wish to speak to my father. You may leave now."

Celena shifted her glance towards the entrance, there was no sound no movement, the figure of maid was gone in an instant.

It will already be night by the time we departure. Celena's eyes soaked the orange ambience of her room, created by the drowning sun of the evening as she walked out.

Sound of paper and irregular steps could be heard from the outside of the office. Celena opened the door without knocking, and before her eyes was her father.

His eyes looked like he hadn't slept in days and was buried under work. A distressed king, and somewhere along that a father wanting to keep his daughter and family safe.

She waited before her father took notice of her intrusion and calmed himself.

"I suppose there was another death, today."

Her father bit his lip in frustration at the accuracy of her words.

"I think that expression just confirms my words. Moving on, I wanted to confirm if you are really sure about this."

Her father looked at her, he understood that it could be the wrong move on his side but it was only option he had left currently. To leave his family's, or rather, her protection in the hands of elves, it pained his heart.

"I understand if you have doubts but that's the only safe place currently on this continent for you. You will also get to meet your childhood friend there. There shouldn't be any problem."

His words were stern and confident in contrast to his mental exhaustion.

"You are right there shouldn't be any problem. This may be our last conversation until I return, I hope to see you in better condition when I return."

With that she closed her attempt at getting her father to reconsider his decisions.

Even if I were to try to force him to reconsider... There was no other way, deep down she knew this was only option they had at disposal now.

As she was about to leave the office, her father spoke.

"I will send Fors with you as your guard."

At night when everyone was supposed to be asleep a carriage was ready to departure to a distant land. The princess sat in the carriage which was disguised as an adventure carriage. From inside the noise of people talking could be heard, and after bidding her mother and people at mansion goodbye the journey began.

She was accompanied by some trusted adventures and a personal guard.

The carriage passed by a jungle and mountain valleys before they crossed the border.

At the mansion, Kairos Hesper, looked from his window at the carriage leaving from the back of the mansion.

As he looked at his daughter leaving to an another kingdom a shadow, a black figure appeared behind him, without turning back to look at it Kairos asked.

"Are you satisfied? Look… what have I… I - I…"

The shadow stood still without saying a word, seeing the emperor's true distress.

Then It spoke.

" 'All according to the prophesy.'

And disappeared.

When Celena opened her eyes she saw rising sun, they had just crossed the border and were now in Elvian kingdom. Surrounded by trees as they passed through the Nectar Forest, she was amazed at how it blocked all the direct light coming from sun.

--She wished to imprint every scenery into her eyes before they reached the palace.
