Chapter 73 - Trigon (1)

"Hah, save me your pitty, dog; Trigon will come and it will kill all of you!" (Alice)

Scoffing his good intentions, the female demon Alice told them her goal.

"Sorry, but I can't let you do that.(Isaac)

With all the patience in the world, Isaac walked towards her. Arella strengthened her bind magic on her too.

"Ha, ha, ha, do you think that both of you can stop me?" (Alice)

"Hmm?"(Isaac)

Sensing some magic disturbance in the room, Isaac looked around, only to find with his special vision that this whole room was covered in magic circles.

([Brain Overload])

In front of his eyes, the room came to a full stop, and only his thoughts were running fast.

(What are those circles for? Let's see...)

This is the most effective application of his new body trait that he could think of right now. Instead of using it on the battlefield, it is better to use it before to analyze information.

(I see, this is the spell core, but why now and not before? Hmm...ah, she is corned, but she doesn't have their blood yet, so how?)

Trying to figure out why until now she used this option, finally something dawn on him.

(She really lost it; huh, she wasn't some calculative mastermind; she was just a person full of hate, and Trigon took advantage of it by amplifying her emotions.)

Originally, Trigon influence on this realm was supposed to happen due to the weakening of the seal at the Great Door using that time to influence the young Raven into opening a portal by herself, thus increasing the physiological damage on her to bend her to his will.

When the time came back to normal, a second pair of eyes appeared on Alice's forehead, and then she started to chant some obscure words, but instead of her voice, another, deeper voice could be heard overlapping hers.

Arella didn't just watch her; she extended one of her right-hand fingers, trying to cover her mouth, but unfortunately, it was too late. She finished her chant in an instant.

The whole room lit up, along with the body of Alice. Now Arella, Navy, and Raven could finally see the magic circles engraved on the walls, ceiling, floor, and lastly, on the body of Alice.

"Isaac, what do they do?" (Arella)

She asked Isaac due to the unfamiliarity of the text and the patterns of the magic circles, hoping for an answer, and he didn't disappoint her.

"They are a type of sacrificial spell" (Isaac

Seeing that he didn't elaborate more made her more worried.

"Can you stop it?" (Arella)

Although she was the Azar, it wasn't that long since she became one. Her magic mastery is still a long way to go, but she could feel the enormous magic that Isaac currently possessed, and according to the talks that they both had in the past, his knowledge of magic became superior to hers over the past couple of years.

"No, I can't; stopping this kind of magic circle rashly will create an unistability that could threaten not only Azarath and his dimension but also Earth's dimension..."(Isaac)

He put his hands in his pockets, and then he pulled out talismans that were in the space between all his fingers.

With a swift motion, he launched the talismans by extending his hands along with his arms, releasing the talismans from his fingers.

The talismans didn't fall to the ground; instead, they attached themselves to the space around them.

"Arella, Nayru, Raven to me now!" (Isaac)

Without saying it twice, the three of them flew inside the zone, and Arella released Alice from her chains.

Alice, now with her mouth free, spoke one last time.

"For my beloved master!"(Alice)

*HUM*

A purple light covered the whole temple, then dark red thunders and light kept coming from the giant magic circle.

*ROAR*

*THUM*

The sky of Azarath turned black and red, the ground shook, and the wind started to blow stronger and stronger to the point of creating hurricanes. It was a chaotic view far away from the peaceful Azarath, but that was just the beginning.

*THUM* *THUM*

...from the portal came out two pairs of giant horns along with a giant demon face, four scarlet red eyes, and long white hair, then his bulk chest, huge bulk arms, hip, and huge bulk legs. At a colossal height of 1,666.6 feet, Trigon finally arrived on Azarath, and with him he brought only one thing:..

*ZOM*

...with a massive energy wave, he completely destroyed everything; at the end, only sand and dust remained from the once peaceful city of Azarath.

***************

*Cough*

"Are the three of you okay?" (Isaac) He asked without looking back.

Only the floor beneath them was untouched by the energy wave, thus still maintaining the shape of a floor tile.

"Yes, mmh, yes, master" (Arella, Raven, Nayru)

The three of them responded absentminded; instead, they were more shocked at seeing the colossal demon that destroyed Azarath only by appearing here.

*Tss* *Tss*

The talismans around them started to desintegrate rapidly, one by one, until the last of them disappeared. Only then did the colossal demon turn around to face the four of them.

*THUM* *THUM*

Every step he took shook the earth beneath them, and then he stopped only a couple of feet in front of them. The dark red sky was covered by his enormous head and horns, and his four eyes looked at Raven, ignoring Arella, Nayru, and Isaac.

"My daughter..." (Trigon) His voice was low and guttural, as if it came from the deepest parts of the earth.

Raven's body flinched at his sentence, and Arella's body tensed up instantly. There was an intense fear in both of her eyes.

That was normal. Trigon can be considered an old god, a being of immense power, and him being a "dark god" didn't help much in this situation.

Interesting enough, there were two pairs of eyes that didn't feel fear; one was Nayru, who had complete trust in her master, and the other was Isaac, who was intensely looking at Trigon without missing anything.

Trigon moved his sight from his daughter and then looked directly into Isaac's eyes.

"So you are the mortal who messed with my plan..."(Trigon) His voice was calm, without anger or joy.

Seeing that his eyes didn't express fear and that his body didn't tense up, he frowned. Something inside of him was telling him that this mortal was something else, something different.

Using his power, he saw pass his flesh and blood. He looked at his soul.

"Huh?" (Trigon) A strange sound came from his mouth.

He saw a massive tree that didn't seem to end, and one of its roots was wrapped around his soul.

"Which Old God sent you mortal?" (Trigon)

His question was full of curiosity; he, with all his might, couldn't see the end of that tree. It was as if the tree existed everywhere and nowhere at the same time, making it impossible to know its origin.

(What? What does he mean by that!?) (Isaac)

Although from the outside he was calm and composed, inside he was questioning himself as well.

Seeing that his question wasn't answered, Trigon didn't care; he just asked to satisfy his curiosity.

"It doesn't matter; you will pay for your meddling, as for you..."(Trigon)

He looked at Arella.

"You're not needed anymore(Trigon)

He extended his right arm and then opened his hand, gathering energy.

"Arella grab Raven; Nayru followed them as soon as the portal opens, understood?" (Isaac)

"Yes master"(Nayru)

Arella immediately turned to her right side and hugged Raven with her right arm. Nayru quickly went between them, and Isaac stood in front of them, uttering some simple words.

"[Ein Sòf]"
