In a building in Boston, Massachusetts, two people were inspecting the place.
"What do you think, sir?"
The building was an abandoned fabric factory located in the private sector.
"It's perfect; tell the real state agent that I want the nearby buildings too."
This was not the only place for sale, but until now there have been no buyers.
"Understood, sir, anything else?"
"Not for now; you can go; I will call you if I need something."
"Very well, sir, goodbye."
"Take care, Mathew."

Looking around one more time, I inspect with my other sight, and when I saw that nothing was wrong, I started to secure this place with talismans and runes.
*Huff* "Finally, it's done." It took me three hours to secure it.
{Now I can work in peace}

{[Magic Engine]} This is what I'm creating right now.
This is something that no one has ever created before, and for good reason.
For starters, the materials to create one are not found on earth, maybe on another planet, but here, forget it.
Then is the actual build of the engine; unlike its mechanical counterpart, this one needs to hold and release energy that can be compared with the energy of a nuclear reactor.
"I have the materials, but how do I build this?"
~{I can't build it like a regular mechanical engine}~
In front of me was a white board with many designs of engines, from cars to planes.
"Hmm, so if Earth designs don't work, let's make it alien-like, and for that, I have someone."
*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*
*Bip*
"Isaac?, Are you alright?"
"That's the first thing you ask me, brother."
"Ha, ha, sorry, it is rare for you to call me."
"Well, you see, I need your opinion on something."
"Oh, and what could that be?"
"I'm stuck on how to design an engine; I already tried all the designs available, so..."
"I see. Sure, I can help. Where are you?"
"Boston"
"I will be there shortly."
*Bip*
{Maybe the show or movies didn't mention more, but Kal-El possesses super intellect}
*Zap* *Boom*
*Tap*
*Knock* *Knock*
"Coming..."
*Creack*
When I opened the door, a 6'7 foot tall man with white skin, black short hair, and blue eyes was there. He was wearing a simple grey t-shirt with some blue pants and brown shoes.
"Welcome to my humble workshop, brother."
"Thank you"

We approached a large metal table with many strange materials on top, chairs to the sides, and a wide white board in front.
"What kind of engine are you planning to build?"
"An engine that could hold the raw energy of a nuclear reactor"
"!?"
"Don't worry, is not going to be actually nuclear energy."
~{Is worse}~
"Hmm, well, in that case, indeed, the current Earth designs are behind by a few thousand years," he said, starting to hold his chin with his right hand.
"So there's one?" I took a seat on one of the chairs surrounding the large table.
"That depends," he said, starting to look at the materials.
"In what?" I stared at his face.
"It's purpose." He looked back at me.
"Purpose?"
"Yes, if you want an engine for a car, a plane, or a rocket, all of them have different designs."
"Of course, I already know that; I thought that you would have a multi-purpose engine or something."
"Ha,ha,ha, well, sorry to break it to you, little brother, but that doesn't exist."
"Right..."
After discussing for a couple of hours the exact purpose of my engine, he gave me a couple of designs, then he flew off; apparently he had a half-time job.

*Ring* *Ring*
*Bip*
"Yes, detective?"
"I got it."
"Fantastic, where?"
"Göreme, Turkey"
"Thank you so much, Detective."
"It was my job."
*Bip*
"Finally," I looked at the engine that I made that was on the table.

Göreme, Turkey
"Indeed, if I wanted to hide a city, here would be a great place."
I was wearing my full equipment, including my mask, and in front of me was a big rocky valley made out of stone and volcanic rock; around it were mountains too.
{Now the fun part: how to get in without fighting}
"Let's just walk in first." I started to walk into the valley with uneven terrain and pointy rocks.
After a couple of minutes of walking, I could feel something...{Magic}.
I followed that feeling, which guided me into the inner parts of the valley, where little by little the light was less and less visible.
{Hmm?, something is off}~{[Kèter'elyon]}~
My crown illuminated the place, and when that happened, I could see many people in black robes on top of the rocks.
{So, I'm surrounded}~{Let's wait}~
"What is your business here, stranger?"
{This voice, a woman}
"I came here in peace. I want to make a deal with your [High Lord]"
"How do you know that name?" She screamed that question, and I could feel the tension rising.
"I know many things, child, and I strongly suggest not making a decision that could kill your people." The tension escalated more.
"Stop, Melinda"
"!?"
From behind her, a portal appeared, and from within it, a man walked out. He was 6 feet tall, had short dark red hair, tan white skin, and green eyes.
He was wearing a light green robe with unknown runic patterns, along with a medallion in the middle in the form of a sun.
"Highlord!" x10 They immediately kneeled themselves.
"It is an honor to meet you, Highlord." I only did a courtesy bow.
"Rise." They immediately stood up, and I finally saw his face different from when he appeared in the comics, right now; he is in his mid-fourties.
"Come, including you, stranger."
"Thank you." I used raw magic to fly to the portal, and I followed the man.
When I exited the portal, I could finally see the mythical Hidden City, the place where the homomagi secluded themselves at the end of the war.
The city was clean and beautiful; like Azarath, it had a certain Greek vibe with big monuments and buildings made out of white limestone, but the major difference was that this city was technologically advanced.
There were magic lamp posts on the streets, automatons like guards on every corner, and floating cars. It was an interesting combination of modern and old.
"Welcome to Avalon," said the Highlord.
After that, they guided me to the main building, where the highlord surveyed the city. Along the way, many people were curious, which is, after all, rare for people to come.
******
Now in a throne-like room, the highlord was sitting on the big chair-like throne in the middle of the room. On his right side was a man wearing Greek-like armor, and on his left side was a woman.
This woman was beautiful; she looked like she was in her mid-fifties, with long blond hair, big blue eyes, and white skin.
She was wearing a one-piece white dress with her shoulders exposed, but the most ominous thing she was wearing was a crown; this crown was embedded into her spine.
"So, stranger, you say that you wanted to make a deal, which kind?"
"More than a deal, it is a trade. I give you something that will supply energy in this beautiful city for a thousand years, and you give me that woman, along with a promise." I pointed at the woman on his left side.
He squinted his eyes at me, but he didn't say anything.
"Bold claim, very well, if what you offer can do what you claimed, I can fulfill your demands."
"Very well, I will hold to that statement," I pull out from my inventory the newly constructed magic engine.
I saw the warrior on the right reach for the sword on his left side, but the highlord stopped him with a raised hand.
"What is this?" He pointed at the medium-sized engine that was in front of him.
"This is called a magic engine."
