Chapter 58 - Chapter 57 - A Revealing Vision

Even a full day after reluctantly projecting my normally deeply hidden inward status before Lady Seraphina's intensely scrutinizing violet gaze, I still scarcely believe or fully comprehend everything I personally witnessed emanating ethereally from that rounded crystal orb out into the open air.

Truthfully, over the gradual passage of years subtly blurring boyhood memories, I had nearly forgotten that such an arcane thing as a visible status screen interface even existed uniquely accessible to my eyes alone.

But forced unexpectedly to render my innermost metrics bare, this brief yet immensely revealing vision served as a solemn reminder of just how many peculiar mysteries still awaited within those shimmering panels - from the obscured question mark replacing my class, to the singular Imagine ability somehow graded EX and explicitly marked as hidden from external view...

What could it all truly mean for my unknown destiny? Why was direct knowledge of my magic class and this Imagine talent specifically kept veiled even from myself until some predetermined milestone of growth or revelation was achieved?

Seeing firsthand the diverse array of combat and casting skills such as elemental manipulation of earth, wind and fire or telekinesis that were now clearly listed and ranked with ascending integers signifying my hard-earned competency and success in gradually internalizing their intricacies and nuances was an aspect profoundly shocking in its own right.

This unfiltered window into my rapid mystical development laid bare that my skills were far more numerous and robust than I had ever held realized or even hoped in most fanciful daydreams. In truth, the sheer expanse of my gifts nurtured by Lady Seraphina's tireless cultivation was far greater than anything I could have imagined only a few cycles prior.

Yet the transparency came with deep unease...for there remained a haunting chance my mentor had discerned more from the projection than she openly let on. I prayed desperately to invisible forces which govern fate that Seraphina had not managed to penetrate the hidden nature of my Imagine ability, or recognize in full the magnitude of what that unique EX class ranking signified about a talent not seen for eons.

After all, by my estimations, Lady Seraphina was likely centuries old, perhaps even stretching into a millennium. Her acumen and experience fathomed far deeper realms of magic than I could presently comprehend. If my true elemental gifts were prematurely unveiled, would she grow fearful? Would temptation override wisdom?

For now, at least I find some solace in knowing that following the projection, Lady Seraphina purposely chose to focus my lessons intensely on skills she could plainly interpret on the surface layer - honing my burgeoning elemental ken with fire, water, and wind, or shaping my telekinesis to move objects with greater precision.

Yes, there would eventually come an appropriate time for me to gradually begin exploring the boundaries of what this mythical Imagine ability may allow, once I've grown strong and wise enough to responsibly wield it without misuse or accident. But today is not that day. And till then I must tread this treacherous winding path one manageable step at a time, trusting in my mentor's greater wisdom and foresight to guide me.

For above all, exercising patience remains paramount, seeing as there is still so incredibly much I have yet to learn about magic's multifaceted truths from a master like Seraphina before I stand ready to evoke power directly from the realm of imagination into reality...
