Archie was lead to a room on a basement floor which contains a female person inside wearing a floral dress, with her hair tied up.
She is wearing a magic handcuffs in both her arms and feet. She was also tied to a heavy looking chair.
She glares at Archie who just entered the room but didn't speak. Archie take a seat and look at the 2 agents.
"Can someone record my interview with this one? And please close the door and never let anyone interfere while I'm inside thank you."
Archie requested and the two immediately comply.
Archie take a closer look at the interviewee and pick up the documents placed on the table that contains the identity of the individua. Archie notices that she isn't in her right mind but he couldn't tell if it is caused by magic or not because no other magic signature could be felt to the individual.
"Hello Ms. Maricris Serrano, I am Archie Milles, I came here today to ask you a few questions." Archie asks.
"Light Reformation" Maricris replied. Which makes Archie curious to what it means.
"What is it again? Light Reformation? What does it mean?" Archie asks but the female just look at him and repeated the words again.
Archie take a look at the agents who was with him inside the interrogation room.
"Light Reformation, is that the words that she keeps repeating? Do you guys figure out what it means?"Archie asks.
One of the Agent look at Archie and shakes his head.
"Unfortunately we don't know anything about it but if we ask her anything she will only repeat those words. Currently the investigation team of the police department where looking for clues about it." He replied.
Archie then look at her once again and he envelope her with his mana and manipulate it to check her condition. But unfortunately he really did not find anything weird about her aside from having shallow sword scars on her body.
"May I know who intercepted her among the group of Frost Legionnaire who responded to her? Tell me all of them and describe the skills that they used."
"There are a total of 4 A-rank Hunters from this guild that arrives to our rescue. But only the Warrior Class, Charlie Soreso intercepted her with his sword skills. No one else join the fight since its a one sided match." The Agent replied.
Archie thinks that Charlie is the one that is responsible for her scars but it's impossible for Charlie to inflict mental damage to Maricris since he is a Warrior Class who uses flaming sword attacks. He doesn't have any skills that could make someone insane. Therefore, it is confirmed that Maricris is already like this before she causes trouble.
Archie was wondering what kind of powers does someone use on her that could bypass his mana and magic sensitivity.
Archie release his moon staff which makes the Agents who were a former police officers, wary about his next action.
"Mr. Archie please wait. You are not allowed to harm her in anyway. It's a violation to the laws."
"He is right. We don't do tortures here."
The two showed their best effort to stop Archie but he just look at them and shakes his head.
"Don't worry, I will only heal her. I was hoping that my healing magic will work on her condition." Archie said and he pointed his moon staff at Maricris who was still saying repetitive words.
--Mega Heal--
A light magic envelope on Maricris body, healing all her injuries as well as her scars.
But her expression and actions did not change. She is still saying 'Light Reformation' and her glare towards Archie did not waver even for a second which shocks Archie.
Archie now confirmed that his healing magic cannot heal mental disorders or the likes.
"It didn't work" The Agent said but no one bothered at him.
"She is a person in her normal state of mind before right? She just become like this after her awakening right? My healing magic didn't work at her, and I don't feel like someone is using magic to make her like that. I guess there's nothing that we can do about her but declared that she becomes like this after her awakening. Let's just keep her under constant monitoring for the time being and I'll bring her in a special cell in Hunters Association where no type of magic can be used inside. Maybe she will regain her self if we restricted her from using magic." Archie stood up and return his moon staff while the two agents where doing their things.
Archie really feels that something is wrong. He couldn't put it in words but he feels that something wasn't really right here.
If a magic that is truly capable of bypassing his sensitivity towards mana and magic truly exist. Then it's applications could be used against him, without a doubt.
But since Archie couldn't confirm such a thing. He decided to ignore it for the time being and think about it later when he has more free time.
"Is everything ready? I will teleport the 3 of you directly to the Hunter Association. Please report directly to the Chairman about what happened here and tell him that I couldn't find anything weird at her after using my magic. Also ask him for permission to use the Teleportation Magic Circle in the Hunter Association, it will bring you back here at Davao City."
"Yes Sir." The Agents replied.
"Call me Chief Archie next time. That's my official title now. Please make sure that you see her being detained in the special cell. She is a powerful awakened that is not in her right mind. We don't want her to cause any more damage."
"Yes Chief" The two agreed and Archie just nod at them.
--Teleport--
The place becomes empty leaving Archie alone in the place.
He decided to leave the room and locate the main office of David. As he walks around, he encounter some police officers looking for the rouge awakened, whom they thought escape, so he told them where is it.
His interaction with them was not long and he finally arrive at the Guild Master's Office.
He opened it abruptly and it reveals two desks. One is for the Guild Master and one is for her secretary who was currently doing some documents. Luna notices him so she stands up to greeted him.
"Mr. Archie, what are you doing here? Mr. David is still not here yet." She said.
Archie ignored her and take a seat at David's Desk while looking at her. Ignoring his uncomfortable feelings towards her.
"I know, I just wanna ask you to buy me some paint and paint brush." Archie controlled his mana ang make it float his money towards Luna who pick it up immediately.
"May I know what you are planning to do with it?" Luna ask politely which bothers Archie more.
Luna seems to act naturally, she doesn't seems to hold any hatred towards him. She also doesn't seem interested in David but she is willing to work and be civil to the two of them.
If Archie was in her position, he would certainly feel very uncomfortable being with his ex. Which makes Archie wondered about her circumstances which forces her to stay here.
"Sorry but no. You are not allowed to know it." Archie replied politely as well while smiling.
Luna take a look at him and she feels like Archie doesn't like her, the way he address her.
"Did I do something to upset you Mr. Archie? You sound sarcastic in your reply."
Archie was shocked deep inside on how she manage to notice his remarks. Archie was quite good at acting politely despite not wanted to. No one saw his acts before and this is the first time that it happens.
Archie immediately thinks of a way to divert the topic.
"Hmm.. I can say that thing to you as well. I feel like there is something weird about you. I just couldn't point my finger at it. Say, do you dislike me?"
Archie was just taking a guess. He just doesn't want the topic to be about him.
"N-no, how could I dislike you? You are probably reading me by mistake." Luna replied.
"I see, I probably do. By the way you did not do anything that could upset me and I'm not being sarcastic to you. Can you please go now and buy me the paint? I needed it as soon as possible. Thank you."
Archie said and he stood up in his seat and take a look at the window.
"I see, I guess I am mistaken, sorry about that. I'll go now."
Luna immediately exit the office and close the door.
Archie didn't bothered to take a look behind him and just focus on the scenery on the outside which is just basically road with cars passing by.
"She is definitely hiding something. Whatever it is, it's definitely something that concerns me."
