I woke up early in the morning to prepare everything that I need to do for the day.
David is still sleeping soundly in my bed, so to avoid waking him up, I exchange my self with a pillow that he could hug while I'm not in the bed.
I immediately grab the list of countries that wants to meet me, to ask me for help in city restoration in their country.
I put them all in sequence base on what I consider as a priority country and set a time and date for them to meet me.
I will just ask Clark later to email each one of them about their schedule in meeting me since I will be away for Marinduque later.
The battle will start at 2 p.m but we have to arrive at the hunter association guild much earlier to prepare everything that is needed and also to announce in the public about our intention in reclaiming the island city from the Lich hands.
After finishing my work I immediately go downstairs to cook food. Mother is yet to woken up so I decided to do it on my own. I don't want David to left this place without eating anything first like yesterday.
I cook rice first in the rice cooker when I suddenly notice that some of our house wares where missing. Is there no one else in the house? If I recall they are celebrating yesterday, they haven't return yet?
I immediately search the house of the energy signature of my parents but I failed to see any. I widen the search to its limits and finally, I detected them along with my brother and sister with their children as well in Lianga City, a place well known for it's beautiful beaches.
I pick up my phone and saw that there are several messages from my parents out there so I decided to call them.
The phone rang and someone on the other side immediately answered my call.
"Mom how's everything in there? I thought you would return here at night?" I immediately ask.
"Oh, we decided to try night swimming. We will probably return there in the afternoon. How are you doing out there?"
"I'm doing well of course, it's just a little busy but its fine since it's work related."
I pick up the ingredients while talking to Mom and prepare all of them.
"You really are an adult now. Class will resume later right? You are graduating already, so better finish it now than extend it."
Oh shit... I really thought the world is about to end so classes will no longer continue. But I restored a lot of cities in the Philippines including our damage school so the possibility of resuming the class is very very high. I am a graduating student but currently I am doing my OJT in a hospital, I did take nursing course so it's impossible for me to work while doing OJT especially since I am still finishing my thesis as well.
It's only 3 months left though, so it would be a waste not to finish it. Maybe I should consult it to the Chairman.
"I'll talk about it to the Chairman, I'll do something about it don't worry. Mom is the bracelet that I've given you still on you right now?" I ask.
I have given mother a bracelet before that I just left in our table with a note of instructions.
"Yes I didn't remove it."
"Good. If something were to happen, remember to call my name in the bracelet like I just said in the instructions that I've left you. It's a very valuable magic item so you better keep that at you all the time and never ever listen to anyone who would ask you to remove it understand? I'll end the call now, I am currently cooking my breakfast. Bye bye and enjoy your trip there." I said.
"Ok, thank you for treating us to this trip. Love you and take care."
Mother ended the call and suddenly I could feel David waking up from my room.
It's a little unpleasant to the feeling, detecting everyone and everything in the surrounding so I decided to stop my detection magic and just continue what I'm doing.
I could hear footsteps from behind me so I look around and saw David walking towards my direction.
"You wake up already? It's still early so go return to bed. This will take a little while to finish."
He then hug me from behind and put his head on my right shoulder.
"Where's uncle and aunty? I couldn't feel them nearby." He ask.
"Oh, I detected them in Lianga, I called up to them and they said that they would return here in the afternoon."
"Your range is that far? I can only detect presence in few meters though, but if I force myself to expand the range, my limit would be around 1 km."
Oh, so presence detection is present to the others as well? It's actually not a bad passive skill to have.
"Well that's just how it was." I replied.
"What are you going to cook?" He asks.
"I'll cook kare kare since all ingredients are present here. Do you like it or not? I can change it into chicken curry if you say so."
"You have that yellow thing here for Chicken curry?"
"You mean the powdered turmeric? We have instant sachet over there. So yes."
"I like both, can you cook them both?"
"Are you planning on eating a lot? It's not good to eat a lot early in the morning."
"I am still hungry, we only eat street foods last night. It has been digested already."
Well you only eat small portion in everything that I eat. It's your fault to begin with.
"Fine, It will probably take me hours so go there and watch some TV if you like. Don't disturb me so I can finish it quickly."
"Ahhhh. What the hell?"
He bite me in my arm.
"You're so cute. I'll do my daily workout routine in the living room. Call me if you need me." He said and left me alone.
I take a look at my arm and currently it has David's bite mark. That guy is brutal, I feel like anytime soon, he will eat me for real.
I prepare everything until all I have to do is wait until the meat is cook.
I decided to return to my room and teleport the thing that I did earlier to my office table.
I return to the kitchen and make a call to Clark.
"Hello Clark sorry to call you this time of a day."
"Oh, don't worry about it, I am already preparing my self for work. Why did you call me?" Clark said in the other line.
"Actually we were going to raid the Marinduque today, I'm going to burn some bones in there so I need you to do the job that I left in my office."
"Are bones flammable? Do you want me to join the raid as well? I can help if you ask me to."
"We will figure it out later if bones are flammable or not. Anyways I think we will be fine on our own so I appreciate your offer. What I need is for you to do a task for me."
"I'm your secretary so go one and tell me what I have to do."
I feel like Clark is a little hyper today than the usual.
"You are a little cheerful today aren't you? Anyways, I teleported a list of countries with dates and times with them in my table in the office. I want you to send each one of them an email on when they can meet me according to the list that I made ok? That's all thank you."
"Ok, I'll finish my work immediately."
"Thank you, I think you can finish it in an hour or two if you create a format and only change time, date, and country name in it and send it to them. By the way if they, the reason that you are not included in the subjugation quest is that for someone to be available and be able respond immediately to Mindanao, if dungeons decided to open up themselves and release monsters."
I take a look at what I am cooking and after confirming that it is still ok, I continued.
"If that happens please listen to the Chairman and abandon everything that you are currently doing. If that happens the Chairman will probably pair you up with Charlie and send you back to Davao to respond. I made some preparation from it if that happens, you go to my drawer and open it up. You will see band papers there that are being stapled together that has magic circles drawn in them. Listen closely, after you arrive at Davao City using the teleportation magic circle in the HQ, you need to write your city destination in the magic circle drawn in the band paper, it will activate and teleport you to the written city. By the way, it will only activate if the city has been visited by me. But if not, you will not be able to teleport there. So please stay on contact with the Chairman so he could decide your next course of action if that happens."
"You really cared about Mindanao that you even prepare everything without someone telling you to do so. Alright leave Mindanao to me and that Charlie, so go and wreak havoc to Marinduque city and wipe all of those skeletons out to the surface of the world."
"Are you on drugs or something? You sound cheerful that before? Anyways thank you. I'll leave everything up to you. I will end the call now, I still have people that need to contact."
"I just woke up in the right side of the bed that's all. Bye bye and be safe." The call ended immediately after that.
What's wrong with that guy? Isn't he the type who would only talk when being asked? I guess something interesting happened in his life today that's why he is very happy.
