The interview took us a whole 2 hours. They really did interview us for everything including our future plans and and so on.
Everyone except me plans to have their own guild. Makoy and Ferdinand wants to have their own guild in Luzon area, while Christine in Visayas and David in Mindanao. My job on the other hand is basically observing them so they don't do anything that violates the law, and if needed, it is also my job to reinforce them if the dungeon that they where about to enter is more dangerous than they could handle.
After the interview we immediately return to the hunter association. Everyone there is quite busy and the newly appointed Chairman is on a meeting with his advisors. Even Charlie has been given a job to deliver different documents from various departments within the association.
"It seems like everyone is very busy. I already told them about my plans to create guild in Mindanao as well and the person in charge says that she will take care of it." David reported while I was in an empty room drawing a magic circle on the floor.
"That's good." I replied.
"What are you doing here?"
"This is a teleportation magic circle. If injected with mana, your father will be able to teleport to your house immediately." I explained.
"Will others be able to use it? Isn't it quite dangerous if other people teleported in our house?"
I finished the magic circle and stood up.
"I made it so your father will be teleported in the front gate. As long as they are outside your house, I guarantee that no one with evil intention will be able to enter your house. I just did it for convenience." I explained.
"That's good, we don't have to rely on you anymore if we want to teleport here. Anyway did you put a magic circle infront of our house?" He asks.
"Yes, I did. When you left earlier to register your guild. You can actually use it to come here." I explained.
"Then people from there could use it to travel here? Isn't it basically a dangerous thing as well?"
"Yes, I thought of that but you can just tell your father to put a secured door here with password or something so people who come from the other side who use it will be trapped inside with nowhere to run aside from returning. Don't worry I'll use magic to reinforce the security here and this is merely a beginning. We will update it in the future when resources and knowledge become more available." I explained.
"Ok if you say so."
"Hey you are a mage as well, shouldn't you help in putting defenses here as well?"
"I don't know how to do that." He replied which makes sense.
"Ok, I'll teach you later. But for now let's go to the basement, where the monster corpses was being stored. I will put some magic in that room to prevent monsters from decaying quickly."
We ride to the elevator to 4th floor basement where strong monsters is being stored. Also monster cores and magic stones are present in 6th floor. I know the entire layout of this building since I can use magic sense to greater degree. This building has 6th floor underground and 6 floor at the top as well. Don't compare this to a sky scraper since it's not. Although the place is not tall, it's very wide and you can easily get lost in each floor if you didn't know it's structure.
We arrived at the area and saw people there working at arranging the corpses. There are also several people on lab coats documenting and taking pictures of the monsters inside.
The place also smells like decay. Even David couldn't handle it and cover his nose. But I just use magic to prevent the smell from coming at us and sticking to our clothes.
After I did that, I just wink and David and he showed me with his thumbs up.
All of these monsters are the monsters I manage to get from the hands of the government. I told them that I'll donate all of that here that's why they are transferring it here.
"Excuse me. But only employees are allowed here." A awakened security come and talk to us.
"Don't worry I work here. That guy is accompanying me here. Can I talk to your supervisor? I have something to tell." I said.
"I didn't know who you are. Can you show me your I.D?" It seems like this guard over here didn't watch the news lately.
I then grab my newly hunter I.D as well as employee I.D when suddenly someone approaches us.
"Mr. Archie and Mr. David? What are you doing here? Let him inside guard. He's working here." Someone in lab coat said.
"Are you the one who's in charge here?" I asks.
"Yes, I am in charge of the inventory department. Did the Chairman send you here?"
"No, I came here by myself. I'm just asking how things are going out here?"
"Well I came here to inspect myself. The place is very smelly, I can do something to slow down the decay rate up to 30x. Will it be ok if I do my thing here?" I asks.
"Will your magic not affect the corpses? We don't want them to change in anyway after contacting your magic. We are still yet to research them."
"No, there will be no effect to the monster corpse don't worry. I'll just make this entire place a walk in freezer that's all"
"I feel like I should talk to the Chairman about it first."
She worriedly said.
"You can do that while I draw my magic circle. Don't worry he's not gonna get mad over something that benefits him." I said and leave her to her place. Trying to contact the Chairman.
I understand where she is coming from and even I would do the same as well if I'm in her position.
We arrive at the center of the place and draw a huge magic circle. There are few interruptions from the workers who where busy moving around but so far, nothing major happens. Even the one in charge is looking at what I was doing. It seems like the Chairman is giving her the ok signal.
While I'm busy drawing the magic circle the Chairman suddenly arrive and talk to the one in charge along with Charlie and some other people.
They just look at me and David, while talking to each other. They are yet to talk to me.
"David, you go explain everything to your father. Please also include the thing about the teleportation circle and how to use it." I said.
"I notice that you are giving me orders every time and you even made me your entourage for free." David said. Clearly too lazy to move around just like me.
"If you do that, I'll treat you tomorrow dinner wherever you like. Come on please. I promise that I'll do whatever you want to do to me tonight as well." I said in a puppy eyes.
"Fine... you better keep your promise. I want to do something for a first time tonight so you better prepare yourself."
He said while looking forward tonight.
"I want to try something romantic, you're always rough on me. Oh well it's your night tonight so I'll just go with the flow. I'll just look for another guy later on to do that for me, it's hard to expect that thing from you."
I pretended to be down and continue doing my job
"You still not contented with me? Fine fine we'll do that the next day."
He said and walk away from me to talk to his father.
I guess he's open to listening to my request in that area for once in a while.
While David and his father are talking, I continue my job and it took me few minutes to finish.
"Are you done now? Should we leave the place?" The Chairman ask.
"If you can endure the cold then it's ok if you stay Chairman. By the way, is it fine for you to be here in person?" I asks.
"Don't worry it's fine. My meetings has ended already. My job now is just to supervise around. I'll probably get busy again tomorrow." He explained.
"Oh I see." I replied and look to David
"David can you activate your magic here? I think it's better if you do this yourself than me since you have better control in decreasing temperature than I do."
He then move forward.
"I never tried doing it before."
"There's a first time for everything, don't worry I'm here. Even if you rampage using your magic I doubt if you could do much damage while I'm being around." I confidently said.
"Stop flexing your power. Yeah you are strong I admit it so stop doing it." He said as he entered inside the magic circle.
"You are kinda boring, I just want to trigger you so you'll ask me for a magic duel."
"Hey stop that dangerous conversation between the two of you. If you have a duel for real, there will surely be casualties." The Chairman said.
"Yeah sorry about it Chairman. I'll try create someplace that could handle Hunter training later."
"That's not what I mean, oh.. yeah if you can do that then I guess it's better but don't try to just duel someone. You need to be responsible for using your powers."
"Yes Chairman." I replied.
"Hey start now. Just put your mana in the magic circle and convert it into magic, make the temperature drop to 0° while making living being who enter here immune to your magic."
Everyone look at me with questions in their eyes especially David.
"Aren't you basically asking me for the impossible?"
"Huh which part of it is impossible? I could do it even though I'm not Ice Mage in particular. It should be an easy piece for you."
I look at him who was looking like he was about to cry.
"Don't compare me to you."
"Fine, I'll teach you step by step so you better perform well or else I'll show you myself how cold true Ice is."
