"Mom, Dad where are you?"
I called them as we are roaming around the house.
"Oh, you are here. Thank God." Mom said as she rushed to hug me.
"Yes mom, by the way this guy here is the son of the Lieutenant that has been taken care of me." I said.
"Hello Auntie." He said while smiling.
He then offer his hand to shakes hands with my mother and she did it without a second thought.
"This man here is handsome. He rivals the looks of the soldier that guards you yesterday. It's name is Clark right?"
"Yes Mom, by the way he's here to tell you something."
"Uhm... The Lieutenant has already called us earlier though, he told us that he'll be keeping you for few days as you restore the cities from monster damages. He also assured us that he will take good care of you."
I look at David and our eyes met, it seems like he's saying that he didn't know anything about it.
"He also said that you fall asleep in his house that's why you didn't return here last night."
"Ahh that's right. Will it be ok for me to only come here briefly?"
My mother then begun to raise her eye brows at me.
"Of course, you are adult already. It's better if you do a good job and follow the Lieutenants order, he said that you and him are basically working together now. He also told me that you will received rewards for your hard work later on, after everything has been settled."
"Oh, yeah. I forgot about my age. I guess I'm already allowed to go outside if it's related to work right?By the way where's Dad?"
I ask.
"Oh, he's on our neighbor. Probably drinking while blabbering about how you were get scouted by a lieutenant and could put huge barrier in our house. Actually the barrier that you put here attracted people's attention in our house, some of them even take a photo of it."
"Oh, sorry about it mom. I can actually make the barrier invisible but it would also make our house invisible from the outside. Aside from that, invisible barrier is not a good barrier, it's main purpose is for concealment so it's a lot weaker than the barrier that I've erected here." I explained.
"Ah no it's fine. By the way son of the Lieutenant, what do you want to say to me?"
"It's David Auntie... Actually what I was about to tell you seems unnecessary already since you already have a talk to my father. I was just about to ask you to let Archie join us in lunch on our house."
"Ahh, I actually expected him to eat there, after all your father told us David that he'll take care of Archie. Is that all?"
"Yes Auntie."
"I see, I'll go outside now to fetch your father. You can now return to the Lieutenant house. By the way, we will not be here tonight until tomorrow, your sister wants us to stay at their house and take care of our grandchild. Don't do something rude there ok? Also take care of yourself." Mom said as she walk away from us and lock the door.
"She seems like a different person today compare to yesterday. She even cried when I return here, but now she sounded like she doesn't want me here. I wonder what your father told her to change here attitude within a day."
"Oh really? Well parents are tend to be like that when their children are becoming adult. They where only worried when they know that there are any danger outside but they'll just let you do as you please when there is not."
"That's kinda true. I'll take a shower now so just do anything you want to do here."
"Are you sure? What if I decided to burn your house?" He asks.
"I'll just repair it and then burn you in a blue flames. I'll make sure that you left no remains."
I replied as I walk towards my room.
"That's harsh. Will you really be able to kill a guy that as handsome as me?"
"Though it's a little hard since handsome guys are endangered species but I think I'll be able to do it since you are not one of them."
I heard him laugh but I close the door in my room and immediately proceed to the shower.
It didn't take me much time to take a shower and once I exited the bathroom, I saw David in my room looking again at my old photo album.
As he saw me he immediately hide it away from me and look around like he's doing nothing.
I really hate handsome guys, they can technically look cool in everything even in their stupidest moment.
"Don't worry I will not try to get it from you. You can look at it as much as you want as long as you compliment how cute I am."
I said while looking at the mirror while brushing my hair.
"Who would compliment you to such things? The person who did that is probably blind."
"Oh really, I guess you are blind. I'm done now, let's return to your house." I said as I approach him.
"Can I take this with me?" He ask while showing me puppy eyes.
"Are you asking me to cremate you right now? Give it to me, I'll burn that insolent album right now."
He suddenly hug it to protected it from my clutches.
"I won't bring it I promise so please don't burn it. Wait I'll return it first." He ran and put the album back to it's place and then returns.
"Let's go now, they are probably searching for us now."
I nodded and I prepared my spell.
--Teleport--
We arrived at his room and everything looks the same as before.
"You can teleport in my room?" He asks while his eyes where getting big.
"Yes, I put a waypoint here so I can come here anytime I want."
"Eh? Though convenient, don't do that without asking me first. You might saw me here doing guy things."
I then suddenly blushed upon realizing what my magic could do.
"Don't worry, I'm not interested in small things anyways so it's no issue if I saw you doing it here."
"Why do I feel like you really want to see me do that? Mine is not average, so if you come here and saw me do that, I won't let you go unscathed. You have to take responsibility. Let me warn you, your hole will surely bleed if I did it to you." He naughtily said.
"Hey, don't say such things to me. I was just jocking ok? I won't teleport here even if it's just for fun. Geezz,, I didn't expect to see that side of yours."
I replied as we walk outside his room. I begun to brush my goosebumps with my hands.
"Maybe I should make my room sound proof. It's not a bad idea right?" He whispered to my ear. I immediately distance myself to him.
"You don't have to, I have my rights to be choosy ok?"
He just laughed at me.
I really dislike people like him who likes to joke around with such things but couldn't even do it since they're straight. I was just being reminded by someone.
We arrive at the dinning table and there are four people seated there. 2 male and 2 female.
I could recognize the Lieutenant there who has documents up on his table and her wife who was looking at me with shimmering eyes.
I could also recognize the other guy on the table who were so shocked upon seeing me and there's a teenage girl that I didn't know looking at us.
"Where did you two go? We were looking for you for minutes already." The Lieutenant asks.
"Uhmm sorry Sir, I just return home to take a shower first. I want myself to be presentable for todays lunch at least." I said
"I tried to stop him but he insisted on returning home to take a shower first so I decided to accompany him instead, incase he ditch us."
I look at him with boombastic side eyes as he tried to lied to he's father. I didn't remember him stopping me from returning home nor he accompany me to prevent me from ditching the lunch.
"I guess it's fine take your seats now, If your here and wanted to take a shower just do it here instead of returning home. Just borrow some shirts to my son's here, I'm sure they will lend you some." I just nodded and seated on my seat.
Infront of me is the guy that keeps staring at me. I showed him my evil smile which makes him more uncomfortable.
"David, I know that you only want to experience teleportation that's why you join Archie here in returning home. Next time you lie don't make it so obvious."
I look at the one that he mentioned and the other didn't reply and just look at the other side.
If David can be considered as master in identifying lies then his father is a veteran at it.
"Hon, don't stare at Archie. By the way I still haven't introduce you to my other kiddos, the guy in front of you is my second child, he is at the same age as you, his name is Charlie, and the other one is my youngest, Elly."
"Nice to meet you, please take care of me." I said and I give Elly my hand first for the shake hands and she immediately responded.
I then offered my hand to the other one who was extremely wary of me.
He look at my hand for a second and then he look at me in the eyes. He hesitantly grab my hand for handshake.
I then decided to use simple magic to slowly crush my hand that he hand shake and my expression turns towards that who feel pain.
I then grab my hand and put it in my chest with teary eyes.
"Hey, what are you doing Charlie? Didn't I told you to behave yourself?"
"I didn't do anything. I don't know why he's reacting like that."
"We could hear his bones cracking and your playing dumb?" His father angrily said at him.
"Uhmmm.. It's fine, I'm fine. He just probably used a little more force to shake hand without considering my body constitution." I said and prepare to cast a simple spell to my hand.
--Heal--
"I'm fine now so it's ok." I said.
"I'll talk to you later Charlie after this."
"But I really didn't do anything wrong." He defends himself but no one was on his side.
"Just do what he says Charlie, whether it's intentional or not, you still have done some damage." David added.
"That's right brother. Hey Archie, is that real magic you just performed right now?"
I nodded at her and then take a glimpse at Charlie who is now in trouble.
