Hearing the loud trumpet, the woman hiding behind the broken building looked up at the sky with interest. She could see Sean's big picture.
Bored from hiding in the same spot for a while, she carelessly threw her right shoe upward. When it peacefully landed on the ground, the woman frowned while raising her eyebrows and giving a slight tilt of the head.
"Is it a trap?" She whispered, because, unlike before, when even a small part from her direction came out of hiding, several arrows would fly straight at her. But now her shoe landed perfectly without any harm. It is so suspicious.
Her interest grew as she picked up the shoe from the ground and carefully examined it. It is in great shape.
It seemed that Sean's big picture had indeed caught the attention of the other person, but she could not shake off the nagging feeling that something was amiss.
While she was busy wondering if there was more to this situation than met the eye, a noise resembling the flutter of several birds' wings reached her ears. She cautiously emerged from her hiding place to see where it came from, her gaze slowly sweeping the surroundings for any sign of danger.
Her attention was immediately drawn to a figure falling from a tall tree in the distance, where many birds flew away. The woman's eyes narrowed as she reached for her binoculars.
Peering through the binoculars, the corner of her lips began to form this uncanny smile. Seeing the familiar arrow that the falling woman possessed, she immediately drew her gun once again and stood up.
"So it was you, huh? I certainly need my revenge. Finally, victory is certain."
With a determined glint in her eyes, she carefully scanned the area, searching for any possible escape routes the falling woman might take. As her grip tightened around the gun, she whispered to herself,
"This time, it will be me who shows no mercy."
As Lucy's body got closer to the ground, it continuously hit the branches along the way. This breaks up the momentum of her fall and divides it into several shorter falls, which gives her a much better chance of surviving.
Aside from minor bruises and some sprains she got from the fall, she was in a fine state. Lucy sarcastically laughed, knowing that she still had not died.
As she stayed still at her place and did not dare move a muscle, she could see the beautiful and calm bright blue sky. Suddenly, her eyes widen as she sees her bow and several arrows, which got separated from her leather belt quiver, fall swiftly in her direction
'Fuck.'
She immediately closed her eyes tightly. She had already prepared herself to feel the pain of her falling weapons.
"Huh?" She slowly opened her eyes after hearing a loud thud in the grass and feeling fine.
As soon as she noticed that several arrows were lying around her but none of them struck her, she burst out laughing.
"Fuck you, I haven't slept in three days," she joked. She was proud to be alive despite being an unhealthy human being.
Lucy's stomach suddenly rumbled, causing her to stop laughing and sigh loudly.
She realized she had not eaten properly in a few days because she had been so preoccupied with her training. Hunger gnawed at her now, reminding her of the physical cost of the effort she had put in.
She sighed again and closed her eyes, unwilling to stand because of laziness.
She continued in that state for a couple of seconds before sensing something.
Lucy immediately picked up the bow and the nearest arrow that were on the ground and, without a second thought, released her weapon.
The arrow flew through the air with precision, hitting its target dead center. A rush of adrenaline surged through her veins, momentarily distracting her from her hunger.
Her opponent's eyes widened in shock as she looked at Lucy.
The arrow was firmly buried in its head, causing the woman to fall immediately to the ground.
The woman did not even know how she died because all she did was carefully walk in the direction where Lucy's body fell.
She did not expect Lucy's instincts to be so sharp that she could even detect her careful movements. Who would have thought that a little carelessness would result in the woman's death?
Lucy's eyes widened as she saw her opponent's face contort in shock, an arrow piercing deep into her skull. Even she, at that moment, was left utterly dumbfounded.
"Oh shit!" She immediately stood and quickly approached the woman, limping.
When she saw that the person in front of her was no longer alive, she scratched her head forcefully and sat next to the body.
"Why the fuck did you make noise on your way here? I am so sorry, I'm really really sorry. I'll be shameless this time then." Feeling a little bit guilty about what she did, she quickly groped the girl's body to find the stick she needed. It was yellow.
Lucy removed the woman's left combat boots from her feet, and seeing the colored stick inside the boots, she immediately grabbed it.
While Lucy was busy working, the stone suddenly moved from behind her. It suddenly turned into a drone and quickly flew into the sky.
The familiar trumpet sounded, and Lucy's face appeared on the drone's projector.
Congratulations, Lucy Matilda. |
Lucy looked at the lifeless woman lying on the ground. Her whole body gradually shattered like a mirror and disappeared in front of Lucy.
She then looked back at her hands.
She began to see small cracks in her fingers, which were slowly spreading all over her body. As the cracks continued to spread, Lucy's heart raced with fear. She desperately tried to understand what was happening to her, but the answers eluded her.
She just stared, dumbfounded, at her shattered glass hand; some of the broken pieces floated in the air before disappearing like a bubble.
The realization of her fragility struck Lucy like a lightning bolt. She felt a sense of helplessness as she watched the remnants of her hand vanish into thin air, leaving her feeling vulnerable and uncertain about what would happen next.
After a while, her whole being vanished completely without any trace.
From the place where Lucy's body was located earlier, a very beautiful woman suddenly appeared out of the thick grass.
Her long, flowing hair cascaded down her shoulders as she emerged gracefully. She surveyed her surroundings with a mysterious air. Her ethereal presence would undoubtedly captivate whoever was present at the time.
She gently wiped the sweat from her forehead before looking around. The girl was immediately puzzled to see that the place was empty.
She could not shake off the feeling that someone had been there moments ago. With a furrowed brow, she wondered if she had arrived too late or if someone had managed to slip away unnoticed.
"I'm sure the projector came from here earlier. Where did it go?"
The girl's face sparkled with elegance, adorned with neatly braided brown hair and a myriad of vibrant designs, enhancing her natural beauty. Her big brown eyes and pink lips completed the captivating picture.
Seeing her petite figure and innocent face at first glance, anyone would think that she might have just lost her place, especially since her face does not look like she knows how to fight.
However, as she furrowed her brows and scanned the area with sharp gazes, it was clear that she possessed hidden strength and cleverness. Her confident stance and focused gaze hinted at a cunning mind capable of outsmarting even the most observant of individuals.
She held her chin and looked at the sky in wonder.
"If it is not here, then where did that projector come from?" She could see the huge picture of Lucy right above her.
Lost in her thoughts, she was jolted by the sound of a struggle. Without hesitation, the beautiful woman unleashed a powerful kick.
Below her, a loud muffle can be heard.
"Shh, quiet! I am thinking." The girl glared at a man whose body was lying on the ground. But the man did not stay silent.
Her eyes narrowed, filled with anger and irritation. She grabbed a piece of torn cloth and rolled it before forcefully stuffing the cloth into the man's mouth. Quickly drowning out the man's muffled cries.
She stood up and took a step back, observing her work with a pleased expression.
Satisfied that he wouldn't be causing any more interruptions, she resumed her train of thought, determined to find what she had been looking for for a while.
However, she begins to hear an irritating muffling sound coming from the man, pleading for help.
"Shut up!" The girl's earlier sweet demeanor has changed, and in its place is a terrifying emotion that is very dissimilar from the sweetness displayed before.
She irritably glared at the man. He was shirtless as his clothes had been torn into pieces, and his whole body was drenched in thick and dense blood.
A whip was tightly wrapped around his body. Both his hands and feet were tied together with his torn clothes. Several visible burning marks can also be seen all over the man's body. This man is dying.
She slowly knelt in front of him and sweetly smiled while stroking the poor man's hair. Her gentle face returned as she clumsily fixed his drenched hair.
"Shut up, or I have no choice but to kill you." The girl spoke sweetly.
The man's eyes widened in fear, and tears began to fall because of what had happened. He began to muffle again while desperately raising his hand.
A black stick can be seen tightly bound in his hand, making it impossible for him to give it to the lady in front of him. He tried to loosen her grip on the black stick, but his effort was in vain.
"You're not going to give it to me, are you?" The woman gently held his hand to stop him from doing what he wanted to do.
The girl's very sweet smile is something that the man will never forget. He will never be able to shake the angelic face that was staring back at him, no matter how many times he tries to forget it.
The woman turned to look at the nearby tree that had fallen just now and clapped joyfully.
"Come on, let's find a partner again," said the woman happily.
It violently pulled on the whip attached to the man's body. Her face was so bright as if she were going to the park. The man tried his best to violently struggle while his body was being dragged around by the girl.
Despite the man's desperate attempts to break free, the girl's grip on the whip remained firm. His body was being mercilessly dragged along, causing him immense pain and distress.
The woman's joyful expression seemed completely detached from the violence unfolding before her as if she were in a world of her own. She even let a playful hum escape from her mouth while walking.
"You know, you need to watch your food intake. You're heavy,"
Her comment about the man's weight added insult to injury, further emphasizing his physical and emotional suffering. The blood stains on the grass served as a haunting reminder of the brutality of the situation, contrasting sharply with the woman's carefree demeanor.
When that strange pair finally disappeared, a man appeared out of nowhere, tall and muscular. His orange hair is also very bright now that it has some leaves clinging to it. You can see a magnificently carved black ring on his middle finger.
His piercing blue eyes scanned the area, filled with a mix of curiosity and annoyance. As he approached, his confident stride revealed a sense of purpose, contrasting with the chaotic aftermath left behind by the strange pair.
Annoyed by the wild grass that was constantly clinging to him, the man violently pulled out every leaf, every vine, and every root that he got on his body before looking at some trees around him.
The man's intense gaze narrowed as he assessed the surrounding trees, searching for any signs of danger or hidden secrets. With a flick of his wrist, he effortlessly brushed off the remaining debris, leaving no trace of his encounter with the wild grass.
When his foot started to step again, it stopped when he noticed the sticky thing at his feet. It knelt there and touched the red liquid that was scattered.
While the man was busy inspecting, a person suddenly appeared from behind him. He was holding a sharp spear, and he was about to cut off the head of the man who was calmly kneeling in front of him.
The man who was kneeling secretly smiled, he quickly dodged his weapon towards the man's neck.
As the sharp spear whizzed past his neck, the man's heart raced with adrenaline. With lightning-fast reflexes, he swiftly grabbed the attacker's arm and twisted it behind his back, disarming him in an instant.
The assailant winced in pain, realizing he had underestimated his intended victim.
"Baited, you've been hiding for a while; you shouldn't come out," the man whispered in his assailant's ear. Suddenly, they both heard a loud sound of wind.
The man immediately dodged, leaving his assailant shocked and having no time to dodge the incoming object.
A black boomerang with sharp edges immediately decapitated the assailant's head.
The boomerang flew back to its owner, who caught it effortlessly. With a calm expression, the man turned to face his fallen foe.
Looking at the boomerang, it was now stained with blood. It is slowly dripping from his hand to his arm.
He then looked insultingly at the headless body of the man, whose blood was scattered on the grass, mixing it with the previous blood from the strange duo.
The man's eyes glinted with a chilling satisfaction as he wiped the blood from the boomerang onto his clothes, leaving a macabre trail behind him. With a menacing smile, he walked away, leaving behind a scene of gruesome carnage and unanswered questions.
Suddenly the trumpet sounded loudly, and two faces came out of the projector one after the other.

Congratulations, Recka Tuazon.|
A familiar woman stopped walking. Seeing the two faces in the Sky, she sadly let go of the whip she was holding and cursed in annoyance.
The bloody man looked relieved as he saw the pictures, realizing that it was the 3rd and 4th photos displayed in the sky. This leaves the woman no choice but to get his stick, as they are the only contenders left to complete the fifth spot. One of them needs to win.
"This sucks." The girl annoyingly takes the stick from the man's grip right after stabbing him in the heart with a dagger without hesitation.
The trumpet sounded again, and her beautiful face appeared on the projector.
Congratulations, Aramina Winstone.|
