Adeola salivated a lot when the cuban teenage sensational singer continued singing slowly those words which he had little or no clue what it actually means.
But he could see passion, commitment and some kind of devotion(as if to the Greek goddess of love) in her voice.
"Is this love, is this love that I'm feeling?"- Adeola thought to himself.
And when she gets to the end of the first line of "Guan- ta- na- me.....rrrraaaaa" she rolled her tongue in a provocative way to pronounce the "rrr".
This immediately brought out some erotic and sensual desires in Adeola and made him as horny as hell- like some animal in heat period.
Adeola knew he was already in love. He couldn't take it any longer. He wanted to hide it from his friend, but it was too obvious.
He was deeply and mad in love with this relatively unknown singer and he couldn't care less or more about his medical education.
He now told his friend Okeke.."If I return back to Lagos Nigeria after seven years without a medical degree but with this Cuban goddess of a lady, my parents will even congratulate me"
They both laughed out loud (l.o.l) before Okeke looked at Adeola with a sternly and politely said... "Your parents will disown you" and this got Adeola almost choking with laughter.
But the Lagos born medical student knew he had seen the light. His life has been totally transformed since setting his eyes on that singer.
He knew he was in love with her, absolutely in love, madly in love...just name it.
And he determined not to leave the famous Malecón without getting her number.
Meanwhile, the singer was catching her fun as she continued singing....
"Yo soy una mujer sincera." (litt: I'm a sincere woman)
"De donde crece Las Palmas" (Where the palm trees grow)
By her side was also a young man playing the acoustic guitar as they smiled to each other and moved with so much synchronicity.
Adeola became so jealous that he wished he was the young man playing the guitar side by side with his new secret lover.

The rhythm of the once slow romantic "Guantanamera" song now changed tempo to a more energetic Salsa tune.
This mysterious teenager was now totally on fire with her serpentine moves like that of the Arabian dancers.
Out of no where came a young handsome man from the crowd as they danced to the Guantanamera song.
Adeola has never seen anything like this before; the salsa was pure and original, right from the very land it was invented.
He noticed some young lads discussing about the singer, and he could pick some Spanish words about what they were saying.
"Un momento, por favor" Adeola politely said. "Yo hablo un poco ingles"(I speak a little English)
"Mi nombre es Adeola, soy de Nigeria, y yo soy de Yórùbà" (My name is Adeola, I'm Nigerian and a Yórùbà)
He said it so casually with some tremor in his voice. But little did he know that those few statements he uttered in Spanish would not only open ways for him, but will define his lengthy seven years in Cuba.
Now almost 80-85% of Cubans practiced a traditional religion called "Santeria" which has its root from the south western part of Nigeria called "Ilè ifé"
So most practitioners of the religion so adored Nigeria and considered Ilè ifé the most sacred land on planet earth more than Mecca or Jerusalem (only that the same Yórùbà in Nigeria hardly see it that way because most have forsaken the old traditional religions and prefer the modern day Abrahamic religions).
And they all treated Nigerians with so much respect and love.
So the two Cuban guys were so surprised because they haven't seen any Nigerian not in Malecón or any other locations where foreigners or tourists always go.
Even those two guys practice Santeria(The Yórùbà religion). So they gladly approached Adeola and Okeke.
"Mucho gusto, soy Miguel, soy Cubano". (Nice to meet I'm Michael, am Cuban)
Miguel was fluent in English a bit; he picked up interest in both elementary and high school, and now in college, he's studying international relationship/English.
Miguel do make some American dollars during the weekend by being a tourist guide to most foreigners he could find in Malecón and other hot tourist spots in Havana.
So immediately both Adeola and Miguel became friends- for he finally found someone who speaks English and help him practice his Spanish very well.
So Adeola now asked, "what's the meaning of the song "Guantanamera?"
Miguel then did some explanations with a bit of Cuban history.
"To understand the song, Mi amigo" Miguel told Adeola.." you need to understand the geographical distribution of Cuba"
"Cuba has 11 provinces(or states) from Havana to Santiago de Cuba. Then there's a province thats most oriental called Guantanamo" Miguel continued.
"Do you know or have you heard of Guantanamo bay?" asked Miguel.
Adeola responded... "Yes I have, I think where some of the most hardened USA criminals are kept. And it's actually in USA not in Cuba."
Miguel laughed and said..."it's in Cuba, but that zone is a militarized one. So a lady from Guantanamo is called Guantanamera."
"Ohhhh, now I see and understand clearly" Adeola smiled.
"But..tt..t, What's her name"? Adeola asked looking upwards and pointing to the direction of the singer.
"Her name is Irina" Miguel responded. "And she's a first year student of music and arts at the same university of Havana I attend. She also practice the Santeria (Yórùbà) religion"
"¿Te gusta?" Miguel smiled as he switched back to Spanish and have forgotten Adeola is still a learner.
"Oh sorry!!, What does that mean?" a confused Adeola asked.
"It means, Do you like her?" replied Miguel smiling..
"Ohh No!"...."well I like her and the way she sings".
Miguel then moved forward, exchanged and traded places with Irina's dancer with a little signal.
He danced with her for just few minutes and whispered to her ears that a Nigerian student is among them.
Miguel stepped backwards and Irina continued to entertain the crowd with her melodious voice.
"Aqui tenemos un Nigeriano con nosotros" Irina said with her sexy voice. She even proceeded to do the interpretation herself.. "We have a Nigerian with us".
Adeola was more than excited as the lady he has been admiring for more than five minutes just introduced him in her self made artist space in Malecón.
He could hardly believe his ears. He looked at Okeke with utter disbelief and told his Nigerian friend.."You see why I believe this is all a dream, an illusion. There's no way she will just signal me out and call a Nigerian from the crowd of many onlookers and admirers".
"Pinch me harder again", Adeola demanded of Okeke.. "So that I will wake up from this sleep now that's it will seem easier to bear the pain than when she now gives me a kiss".

Miguel could sense what was happening from their conversation and repeated himself.. "Te gusta mucho. You really like her. You like Irina"
Okeke nooded and told Miguel that Adeola has been in love with Irina since he did set his eyes on her and has been dreaming of taking her as a prized asset to his parents back in Nigeria.
Miguel then shouted aloud to Irina.. "El Nigeriano quiere bailar Contigo" (litt: The Nigerian student wants to dance with you).
Adeola's face almost turned red as he was frightened to death. He just wished the ground should open and swallow him up than to go and disgrace himself at the stage.
Irina smiled at him and asked him to come and dance. She promised to teach him.
Adeola was now so shy and refused the invitation from the lady he's been dying to be with.
Irina came down to where he is and took his right hand and led him to the stage.
She slowly showed him the three steps process for beginners to master the salsa dance.
Though Adeola was shy, but he managed to do some steps that really impressed Irina and the crowd.
"Muy Bien chico!"(You're doing it well boy) - Irina exclaimed.
With time, Adeola gained some confidence and moved a bit faster with the rhythm.
After some minutes, Irina then signalled the guitarist to end the Guantanamera song.
She then told the cheerful crowd it was time to say goodbye with a song from one of the most iconic reggae star of our generation..
"No woman, no cry, by Bob Marley"- Irina clapped her hands as she picked up the mic and demonstrated to the crowds ( full of both Jamaican and European tourists) that she can beautifully sing in English as well.
She summoned Adeola (who went to the crowd after the brief interlude) to join her for some smooth Reggae and blues (R/B) tunes.
Adeola now happy that he can at least dance this well, rushed to the stage to dance with Irina.
He held her waist, and the other hand wrapped up her shoulder.
Irina moved closer and looked into his eyes and told him... "You, handsome man".."My English, no too good"
Adeola smiled and told spoke to her slowly so she can understand "thanks a lot for the compliment. Your English is very good for a native Spanish speaker".
They were both lost with the mythical Jamaican Rasta and Reggae artist song and vibes that they both didn't know when the music stopped as they still held themselves together.
The crowd then cheered them up as some gave gifts and money to Irina and her band of salsa-go-round artists.
Adeola then gathered some courage and told Irina... "You sing so well and also very beautiful with sexy looking eyes. Please can I have your number?"
"Don't worry about my number. I want to walk with you till the end of this boulevard- that's the spirit and the most important aspect of Malecón"
Adeola immediately agreed and told Okeke he won't go to the hostel with him.
He gladly shouted at the top of his voice.. " I have a 'walking-date' with the most pretty lady in Cuba and the Carribeans".
He shook his hands and told him goodbye.
The walk with Irina was something out of this world. Adeola was now totally in love with her after just two minutes walking with the mysterious singer.
She held his hands as they walked together as a couple in love. They stopped by at some spots to looks at some art exhibitions and equally listen to other artists performance.
Irina then invited him to "Casa de Yórùbà" (litt: Yórùbà's house) where she will be playing tomorrow evening.
As they got to the dark end of the Malecón, Irina took Adeola to the edge of the seawall and gave him some salsa flavored kiss.
Adeola was so surprised that it just came out of the blue. He didn't expect it.
He closed his eyes thinking that by the time it's open, he will just transport himself to his real life in his little boring bedroom in Lagos Nigeria.
But No, he didn't.
He even thought of calling his friends to tell them he has found his one and only cuban lady that he would definitely bring back to Nigeria- Slow down tiger, you just met!!!
The kiss was so intense that Adeola's manhood was so hard and erotically enlarged.
She then asked Adeola.. "¿te gusta la chupa chupa?"
"No comprendo", Adeola replied.."What's the meaning?".
Irina looked at him in the dark, touched his now hardened p***is, and said "You like blow job?"
"Sí señorita" was all he could say.
The horny Irina pulled down his pants and rolled out his third little leg that's almost getting to the size of the other two legs and let it find solace in the comfy of her warm mouth.
Adeola let out some scream(luckily no one was close by) and before he could open his eyes, his pants down were already stained with his cum.
She smiled and say.. "See you tomorrow at casa de Yórùbà"
Adeola was just on top of the world. He could even touch the night sky, the clouds and stars with his bare hands.
"This is the real world"- he shouted out loud.
By the time Adeola got to the park to board the last bus for the day to his hostel, he reached out for his wallet and it wasn't there.
