Chapter 79 - Pick a name

As he made it through he was met by the wall of choice once again, but this format was strange to him... Nonetheless he enjoyed it, the symbolism of this masterpiece? There was not only the symbolism, but the feeling of age taking effect, there was dust, hardly identifiable from where, a person could wonder what was the cause of this and how old this place was... 'Is it a mental thing or something else?' He thought to himself, but no answers were in sight. The most logical answer was that the place had existed far beyond when he appeared, but if that is the case, then why is he the only one here? Why is there no sign of any other life here? If it's mental, what does it represent?

These were a bit of the questions that appeared in his mind, yet no answers... Did his brain catch dust? "Probably not... Wait how old was i again? Eh, people lose track of time easily... Oh how the time passes, I almost forgot school exists..." He said placing a hand on his forehead before looking up. "Hum, i never actually looked up this place..." He said as he just saw more of the wall, but without a floor... "Let's spice this place up a little." He grinned as he altered the layout, making it into absolute chaos, but at least now every key hole was accessible by foot. Just stairs, stairs in weird angles and a bunch of gravity defying features. With pride he held onto the key before noclipping through the wall towards a random location within the city in which the U.A. building was, he had a few minutes or so.

It was raining, a delightful feeling, the warm droplets falling on him. Sadly his clothes were going to be soaked once he had reached the cover of the school building, so he thought of a way to prevent this, either by taking away his enjoyment and just phasing through reality to be there immediately or by covering up with some other clothing... That outfit, was this his future self, the man of mystery.

Did he even need this? "No..." He said to himself as the raindrops began passing through him. This genuinely was the best option at least for him. And so with that, he located where the School was and began making his way there, step by step, building by building, he was getting closer to his goal and the limits he has put himself.

Once he reached the school, he had to act quick as his time was running low, only a minute, he could phase through the whole building on still use his other options as just to phase right to his seat. But this was boring. So With all his might he was literally flying through the hallways up the stairs and with the last seconds counting he ran towards his classroom, clutching it with a second, just as he opened the door the bell rung.

"You are late!" Ida yelled as Eth made his appearance. "Nuh uh, i'm right on time." Eth replied proudly and panting slightly before lifting his hand in front of himself with his pointing finger active, gesturing that he caught him and that he has won this mental argument.

"You are wasting your time and mine included by standing here..." Aizawa said as he stood behind Etheral. This gave him quite the scare as Eth jumped and turned around rapidly. "Morning class." Aizawa said as he walked forward and around Etheral, "What are you waiting for? Take a seat Etheral."

"Ok, i am sitting." Eth said as he suddenly appeared on his seat.

Some of the students showed concern over how Aizawa didn't had any bandages. "The old lady went a little overboard in her treatment. Anyway, we have a big class today, our hero informatics." Aizawa announced, before adding a long awkward silence. Etheral was giggling in the back ofthe class as he had the urge to say, 'Do you need drums for this one?'

"You need codenames, time to pick your hero identities. This is related to the pro hero draft picks that I mentioned the last time we were in class together. Normally students don't have to worry about the draft yet, not until they are second or third year actually, but your class is different. In fact by extending offers to first years like you, pros are essentially investing in your potential, any offers can be resented if they are interesting you guys down before graduation though..." Aizawa said before one of the students asked if there was more for them to prove. "Correct, now here are totals for those who got offers." Aizawa added before pressing a button on the remote as statistics appeared onto the blackboard.

"Despite this results, you will all be interning with pros. You already got to experience combat with real villains during the attack on the USJ facility. But it will still be helpful to see pros at work, up close and personal, in the field, first hand..." Another student brought up that this was the reason they need hero names. "This hero names will likely be temporary, but take them seriously or..."

"You will have hail to pay later. What you pick today could be your codename for life, you better be careful or you will be stuck with something utterly indecent." Midnight said as she entered the room, funny thing. This caused a thought in Eth's mind about if she just stood in front of the door and waited for Aizawa to say that. He giggled as he imagined that she was just standing there looking at the door while waiting.

After which Aizawa said the reason why she was here, and so the students were given a marker and sheets of paper on which the students had to write a codename.

Eth wondered on his choice but nothing came to mind, idea after idea failed, until finally, the man of mystery emerged, this represents him, in the future and in the present... maybe in the past as well. But it woudl be weird of people calling him by the entire title so he wrote a few cuts, from "the man of mystery" to "Man of M."

...

'Can't it just be mystery? Mysterios? What would the people say. "Hey look it's Mysterios."... Yeah sounds about right.'

Before him went a few, not the best of choices but fine enough, and there were those who were actually great names.

And now it was his turn, he walked on the podium. "I got no idea what here, Man of Mystery, Misterios, or Man Of M. Cause if we shorten every word to a signle letter it would be 'M.o.m' And that ain't what i want to be called."

"Hmm... Yeah, it's a great name, it represents you perfectly in all your glory." Midnight said in agreement over it.

"Thank you!" Eth replied satisfied by the good judgement and turned around and walked away.
