Chapter 41 - I refuse

He felt tired, while walking throughout his park, he felt incomplete, like he could create more, something even more beautiful... His heart craved to see something as he heard a familiar playful music coming from above the mountains. 'It can't be coincidence... How does it all seem so familiar? Only one way to find out...' He said walking upwards onto the snowy stone brick stairs, towards the sound. 'Does it even matter?' He ignored the thought and instead made his mind hush. The question slowly faded away from his memory as he continued moving forward, until he reached the small hotel building he has created, there were people enjoying themselves in the restaurant, he could see them through the glass doors of the not so private parts of the hotel. He smiled at this, perhaps a bit of expansion would be nice, he could create a room roof. A wooden looking out at the snow falling in this part of the level, he smiled at the idea as he entered the building slightly cold, he was greeted by the couple facelings who he placed to keep this hotel, yet he felt sad. He created them, but if he was free why shouldn't they be? A will for them both, he can shape them like people and give them a consciousness so they can think and be like people. This feeling of limitation within his own creation, it annoyed him. So without much of a thought he began glitching the facelings into looking like human beings and acting like such. Visually he took them to his realm as he began to shape them... perfection. Then he began testing on how to give them a thought process, and after many times of trial and error, he finally caught the technique. "Can you speak?" He asked, as he looked at the two of them, and even if he was given a reply "Yes!" This hive mind thinking pissed him off.

While he was making them his mind continued giving him possible scenarios where they could suffer, this threw him off as he feared that they might be harmed. He was caring to many, just like a caretaker. He hushed him mind once again as he gave them a piece of his power, which was the same as his, but without the level choosing.

He continued shaping the personalities of his creations before he has finally completed what he wanted, they were fully capable of having a will, to think and interact with people.

"Now let's bring back to the spotlight." He said as his space collapsed back to the levels lobby. "I wish happiness to both of you..." He said before climbing to the second floor where all the rooms were positioned, he had an idea, but to not ruin the decoration, he had a better idea, he extended the roof a little making it a bit taller than what it was now, and made a medium sized empty compartment in which he needed to jump with low gravity and noclip through the lamp on the ceiling at the end of the corridor to get to his room.

He felt like a genius and enjoyed the mind process behind his desires. He went at the end of the corridor and jumped lightly as he slowly emerged from the floor of the room he had just created. Now he needed to make a few renovations.

With the wave of a hand the wall to the outside turned into a giant triangle window with wooden frames on each glass panel, looking out into the light shining in the night among the pathways. He opened his arms as he looked out "Now this beautiful." He said proudly, smiling he turned back to the empty room, as he began imagining on all the placements that could be, so many possibilities yet, he could experiment by mixing them, or even the raw idea would be perfect. In the end of trying out different placements, he came to the conclusion bed at the corner desk on which he could draw or do anything at all, a small kids table with a beanbag chair on a circular carpet.

"Yes, good." He liked how things were coming together. He gave another major component to make the room feel extra comfy, by placing a hammock alongside the window. He hummed to himself walking around the room adding details everywhere he can, placing a small wall from the roof to the ground so there isn't just that unusable corner, an orange lamp on the desk, some books on the kids table his phone was also placed there, and a nightstand beside the bed, with a thermos of almond water on it. Yet he felt as if he would be more comfortable sleeping on the hammock when he is tired. He was happy, it all came together to look comfortable, warm and welcoming. He smiled at his work, his smile wasn't as prideful, as it was calm, without much of a thought he jumped into a laying position onto the bed, enjoying how soft it was before pushing himself back onto his feet and getting to the hammock and testing it out as well. Everything was nice, he sat beside the table onto the carpet, on the beanbag and then straight on the floor, it all felt comfortable. Finally he sat on the office chair beside the desk, and enjoyed the feeling. Now he knew that he has made himself a place to sleep, he was happy. His thoughts didn't try to bother him while he created the level and edited parts of it. So he believed that it was simply a way for him to mute everything and enjoy the creative source, that was his mind. He felt tired from all of this running, when he stands still the backrooms preserved his energy, from the simple acts of heart beating, breathing, and small movements like simple walking. But when faced with more requiring exercise, the system just breaks. As the final act for the day, he slowly walked to the hammock before realizing that he needs a place where to store things, so he created a box, filled to the brim with blankets. He grabbed one of them before going to his final movements for the day. With a somewhat tired, yet satisfied face. He made his way to the hammock, before taking off his shirt as it was a habit from his past person, before laying down in the hammock and putting the blanket over himself, spinning a bit to position himself, he closed his eyes and finally let himself to his exhaustion.
