Chapter 44 - Desperation

Azriela found herself in a dire situation. Because her strength was down, she couldn't even get out of Alf's grip, and Magnus kept pushing on his hammer so that Azriela couldn't use her sword.

All she could do was touch Alf with her other hand, but Maris wasn't about to let her do that, as the two scarlet rings on her hands shone brightly.

A magical projectile emerged from each ring, quickly coming at Azriela.

Azriela's pupils narrowed as she realized that she would not be able to escape from this trap. She was left with only one option.

Tap.

The tips of her fingers, touched her shoulder, quickly coating her entire body with a thin layer of ice. The process was quick, and before the projectiles could reach her, Azriela's eyes shone brightly like lanterns.

Then, the ice cracked, and a frosty wind rushed out of it, throwing Magnus and Alf aside as well as easily destroying the magic projectiles.
