"Only two days are left for the fest, " Emperor said as he commanded his general to look after the preparation of the fest.

Fest does not only mean celebration time but also the boom in economy due to the trade involved. And as the human race conducts it every year it has boasted the Royal treasury over the years. This is the peak season for trade and merchants from all over come here. And their security is under the Royal supervision.
The streets must be decorated beautifully with beautiful candles which light up on their own as the night befalls, hire the most excellent magicians to do this and other activities. And now that we will have magicians also prepare a show by them to entertain the esteemed guests, and there should be sufficient inns for the travelers to stay the night in peace and luxury. Tell all the gambling houses that they can not create any ruckus which will lead to fights and disruption of the celebration and peace and tranquility.

The Emperor was not able to get what it was in the beginning but as his life got hamperred he realised that someone was intentionally playing with him. During the afternoon break, he went to his chamber and called out.

"Oh my my you notice my mischief sooner than I thought, " Said the grey witch.
What do you want from me? Asked the emperor.

But the fest is open to all and you are most Welcome. It's just that you are not able to control yourself from creating problems so you witches don't come here as you fear the curse you will be inflicted with said the emperor.
Oh i don't care about that but i want to come as a very important guest so i want an imperial letter for my arrival. Or I will continue to prank you and I might prank your little daughter Mitchell, " said the Grey witch.
Are you threatening me? Asked the emperor as he glared at the witch.
We can try if I am threatening or not. Wanna see? Asked the Witch.
Oh just do whatever you want but stay away from my daughter. Moreover you can not do anything to my daughter, don't you remember that year? Said the emperor in a threatening voice. As if he was reminding her of something.
The witch did not budge and sneered at him.
Very well then, just give me the grand entrance to the ball. Said the witch.
The Emperor scribbled on the paper and stamped it with the Royal seal and threw it at the witch.
The Emperor went back to the assembly Hall and discussed the state affairs.
Then he ordered the state councillor to look after the dress to be worn by the princess Mitchell and the emperor.the state counselor has to make sure that they were well protected in the dark and upfront.
On the other hand Princess Mitchell was trying different types of dresses and hairstyles. Her dance training became intense as she had to dance first and start the ball and she could not make any mistakes and embarrass the Royal Family. She was going to play a critical role in the ball.
Clara on the other hand peeked at Mitchell as she saw her changing so many beautiful dresses and seeing the whole floor covered by different beautiful shoes, her heart sank. Clara had none of the beautiful shoes yet here was Mitchell who had all the shoes in the world.
Commoners started to prepare for the fest long ago, they all got new clothes, new hair accessories and shoes. And the people who were engaged in business all started to put decorative items. To make their shops beautiful. The streets looked extremely beautiful. There were banners everywhere.
Clara went to see her teacher and saw that her teacher had prepared 3 beautiful dresses for Clara. They were pink, red and blue. There were even matching shoes for all the frocks. There were even hair accessories for her. Clara was mesmerized. She thought at max her teacher would get her one dress but there were three in front of her and all three were pretty, they had different designs and different colors. But all the three dresses had laces with different patterns and it made it look even more pretty. One dress had flower patterns on it, the other had Butterflies all over it. And the most pretty dress had gems and glitter. It was of sea green color. Clara thought that it was the most pretty dress so she decided she would wear it at the ball. Other dresses were of red and pink color. There was a tiara with roses made on it. There were many clips of different colors and patterns. Clara smiled happily as she looked at the clothes and accessories and her leacher Lilian. Miss Lilian also smiled back as she rubbed her head and gave her a warm hug suddenly.
The shoes and Rhinestones on them made the pattern of a flower.
The ball was being cleaned and decorated with flowers and lanterns to make it well lit. The roads were painted with different patterns. There were posters all over the city of the Royal Family and all the esteemed guests.
The emperor and the empress went to the venue to check that all the things were going on as they were planned and if they needed to do any modifications and see if everything looked good together and if it was too tacky or too simple. They needed it to be elegant and outstanding. Royal pride was at stake after all. The empress even talked to the commoners to make sure they were happy and if they had any suggestions for the fest.
Everything was going well. The preparations were in full bloom. Everything was waiting for the fest to begin. Many merchants arrived earlier to find a good spot to do their business. Some even came earlier to make sure they had the reservation at the inn to stay before the inns started to be overcrowded. The streets were full of people in new clothes. There were even people in fancy masks enjoying themselves. Couples could be seen everywhere on the streets. The parks were also full of couples. There were children running around in the streets. The festive vibes were at peak.
