Throughout the entire travel, Bai Tingfeng noticed something off with Shen Yuan. He was awfully quiet, totally different from the usual Shen Yuan. Well, post-reawakening Shen Yuan, to be exact. He wanted to ask what was bugging him out of concern, but the words always got stuck in his throat whenever he tried to open his lips.
Their innocent son, on the other hand, was already asleep. The fatigue finally struck after filling his stomach and relaxing himself in his daddy's arms.
Bai Tingfeng is internally worried about his son and Shen Yuan since it would be uncomfortable to sleep, not lying down, and Shen Yuan must be dead tired after everything that happened in a single day.

Bai Tingfeng almost jumped on his seat when their car sharply turned left.
Su Yifan bowed his head low, hiding his pale face. He better act like he heard and saw nothing, or else his employment status will face a terrible crisis! "Guildmaster, I apologize. We are home now."
Bai Tingfeng sighed, "We are finally here, Shen Yuan. Let me hold Yanyan for you. I will guide you to your room."
However, Shen Yuan still didn't respond. This time, he looked at the omega more closely and realized that Shen Yuan was actually asleep all this time!

"Guildmaster?" Assistant Su softly called Bai Tingfeng from outside the room, careful not to wake up any of the two sleeping souls.
"What is it?" Bai Tingfeng asked the moment he exited the master's bedroom.
"Master Shen dropped this in the car, Guildmaster."
Assistant Su gave the string envelope to Bai Tingfeng and left immediately.
Bai Tingfeng eyed the envelope, which he knew was given by Chairman Mao curiously.
The string was slightly frayed because Shen Yuan was venting his nervousness on the poor thread. It left him wondering what was bothering Shen Yuan. Shen Yuan always had the nerves of steel, which made him a little concerned.
Bai Tingfeng left his musings for a while and placed the envelope on the bedside table. He proceeded to clean and change the clothes of their little boy. But even if he tried to focus on his actions, his mind always strays towards the envelope. He wonders if Chairman Mao offered Shen Yuan to work at the Hunter Association.
S-Class awakeners are coveted assets no matter what the organization is, so it is understandable if the government itself scouts Shen Yuan.

The celestial fox didn't want to take any chances, so he alertly opened his red, sleepy eyes and was almost taken by a heart attack when he saw a large hulking back facing him. Fortunately, he managed to identify the man because of his familiar smell.
"Bai Tingfeng! Goodness! You scared the shit out of me! You know I will go to the spirit realm one day, but please, can we not make it today?" Shen Yuan half-whispered and half-shouted because he could sense Yanyan sleeping beside him now that he was finally sober from the sleep.
However, instead of saying anything biting, the alpha male, who is facing away from Shen Yuan, secretly wipes his face. Then, after a while, Bai Tingfeng asked in a husky voice. "Shen Yuan, will you accept Chairman Mao's offer?"
