It was always difficult to guess what had passed through Magnus's mind but for once, Estelle could see that he was lying to her. Something wasn't right and it was his face that seemed more vexed by her question about children despite him truly wanting to be her. She knew that like her, Magnus wished to have family. They wouldn't simply change their mind overnight unless… unless there was something.
Magnus shook his head and gently settled his hand on the side of her cheeks, "I want to have children with you too, Estelle. I just feel that there are times for this and we should plan it ahead."
Over his dead body would he had to tell her that she couldn't have children for the sake of her own life. Not now. At least not until he had found what he needed to do.
