The Lizard tried to confort her but her mother still appeared saddened and worried. She slowly pressed her lips together and pressed her fingers to her forehead. Seeing her stressed, the lizard made a look on his small face that was filled with so much concern and worries.
"It's not a good power," said her mother as she pulled the nearby chair to sit down. Standing seemed to make her tired, "You know it as well," she sighed, "This kind of power will attract the wrong type of people around her. Like Arthur. If he knew I have no power he might not pay any attention to me and we wouldn't have to…" she stopped her words as if saying it will hurt her.
The lizard seemed confused for a moment. He must have thought the power her mother and she would have would be a great protection. But she couldn't blame her mother who must have thought the power will instead endanger her.
What her mother wanted was a normal life for her..
