Elle panicked upon seeing the blade that was about to come down towards her neck. Her voice was high as she shouted with all her might, "If you kill me the saintess will come back in my body!"
Her voice rang aloud but Maximus having the agility of a beast was able to stop himself from stricking down and cutting her neck off her body at once. A look of shock settled on Maximus, Augustus, and the leader who was sitting down at the chair now began to stood up from the startle.
"What did you say?" Maximus demanded for an answer.
Elle shut her eyes. The man knows if she lies so if she didn't lie he would also know it.
"Magnus found out that if killing me it would allow the Saintess to take over my body. None of us wants the Saintess to come back, whether it's me, Magnus, or you," she said before she slowly opened her eyes. "If you don't want the Saintess to come back then killing me is the worse option you have."
