The light was extremely bright, blinding her eyes immediately at once and when she knew it the light had disappeared and she had returned to the real world where she saw Magnus's handsome face now contorted with such pure wrath that made all the veins on his neck to crawl like a bluish green vine from his neck to his jaw. He had clenched his hand tightly around his aunt's neck, removing the veil in purpose as he had slammed her body hard enough to hit the wall behind them.
"I have warned you," his voice low and cold while Lady Canary who was at the opposite end of his anger accept the clench tight around her neck with a look that was as cold as a glimmering icicle.
"I didn't do anything bad to her, Mag," said Lady Canary, calm and composed even when Magnus's hands were already around her neck. Her composed attitude makes the scene even more unnerving as Magnus wasn't someone who would easily have mercy for others.
