More than her stung heart, Magnus's tone was extremely hurt. Even though she had seen him fighting and taking lives before this was the first time he had sounded as if his heart had been stabbed. His eyebrows were knitted into a knot, eyes filled with slight disappointment, and his lips pursed in an act of complain. Elle who had seen such face couldn't say anything but feel hurt again.
"I.. haven't agreed with her," Elle said but Magnus didn't seem pleased yet.
"You should have rejected her if you cared about me," Magnus then pushed his hand down to the table and looked away from her but could still see her reflection from the window to be able to see her face without being noticed by Elle.
Elle clenched her hands, "Will you be happier if I had rejected her? I thought you wanted to have a love."
