Magnus started strong and Estelle hearing it couldn't help but gulp, almost letting out a loud hiccup that would have shocked the rest of the people in the dining room. First off, she had to comment about their seating plan. With her sitting right beside him and his hand around her laps, and her family in front of her, looking at her with faces one would only use during funeral. The grim expression made her look down before she slowly lifted her face to look at Count Arthur.
All she wanted to know was the expression her father had while Magnus pressed the news. Upon looking at his face, she saw him who looked shocked, shaken almost as his entire face grew pale and blue, "What are you speaking about?"
"Tell them sweetheart," Magnus turned to her. "Tell me all the grim details that happened three nights ago in my garden maze."
Elle shivered and she looked down. She wanted to speak but the memory was far too frightening to say out loud and humiliate her. "I—"
