Startled by his words, Elle's golden eyes glistened. As she thought she couldn't help herself from having her heart swayed by Magnus's words. Everything he said was always sincere. It made her feel even more touch by knowing that he only acts this way towards her. She wondered if she was reading too deeply into it and if this was normal for him.
But the fact that he remembers her name out of everyone else's had shot an arrow to her heart.
She rubbed her cheeks, hoping it wasn't too red and stood up immediately. She had to snap out of it!
"I think I will return back to the ballroom. The party is about to start right?" Elle felt flustered to stay in the room alone with Magnus. If she stayed for too long, she knew her feet would then refuse to move away from him again.
