Upon the sudden coldness from Magnus's words, Elle felt her spine latched with a cold ice. She didn't know what terror was but she knew that Magnus wasn't joking when he said he is dangerous. The distance between them suddenly widened and she find herself standing and staring at him for a couple of minutes before finally following him back to the carriage.
Before they were about to enter the carriage, Elle saw the black clothed butler who seemed to have been staring her for a while. Elle wasn't one to shy away from looking back when someone stare her and she looked at his eyes finding the butler staring back at her.
