Elle didn't expect Madam Val to point out her book. She looked down and looked back at the housekeeper and nodded her head, "You know about this book?"
"Yes of course I do," Madam Val responded. "I used to know someone who really loved reading books about the saintess and the black dragon. Is it your first time to hear about it?"
Madam Val seemed oddly soft with her words after seeing the book. Taking the chance as now Madam Val is kinder than usual, Elle asked, "Yes, I don't hear any stories back when I was in the slums especially those regarding the saintess."
"That make sense, the people in the slums believe in no goddess as well," Madam Val sat down, "Not that I can blame them. Living in such a place with high rate and risk of death, they must have seen goddess as no help to them given how they will still suffer from illness and poverty. I didn't expect you to be religious as well, Miss Estelle."
