Pretending wasn't a difficult ordeal for Elle. She could be emotional deep in her heart but it won't take her much effort to simply pretend as meek as a sheep and as friendly as an angel when she needed to. She knew how Caroline wanted her to get mad but to remain bright and happy wasn't too difficult for her. All she had to do was shut her eyes and gave a wide smile.
Elle then pulled away from Caroline whose face had turned green from disgust that her body was touched by her. A small chuckle slipped from her lips that gathered a frown from Caroline. But with ease, she softened her eyes and whispered, "You are really still a child aren't you?"
Caroline glared at her but Elle smiled, reminding her, "Father is still behind us. Are you sure you should show your hatred so crudely across your face like that?"
Caroline gasped and covered her face, shocked that Elle realized her ruse so easily.
