"You mean to say that Magnus killed his own mother?" Elle wanted to crack a smile as it sounds almost too horrible to be true that it sounded like a joke.
Her heart dipped in coldness when she saw her father's stern gaze as he didn't utter a single word. The silent confirmation made the hairs on her back to stand.
She pushed her back deeper to the chair and thought of the moments when she spoke with Magnus. He was no killer… he didn't seem to be the type of person who would kill others for no reason.
"It's a misunderstanding, I'm certain he is not such a person who would harm his own family members," she said firmly, not knowing how she sounded desperate to protect his good name.
