Estelle squeezed her eyes together before pushing herself to stand up. She nodded and smiled back at him, easing his concern, "Don't worry. It's something that I should do. I know you wouldn't have had me to go but as a citizen of Raindawn, I also have to set an example."
Magnus had thought of shooing them away but it would draw a terrible image of Estelle as a killer and a noble who had ran away from punishment after killing by her status. They left the sitting room, walking over the foyer where almost immediately, she could feel Sophia's eyes on her, burning brightly as if she was glad.
