The rain had gotten worse by the time their carriage arrived in the tall gate of the Castle. Estelle stared languidly as she had placed her head to lean on Magnus's shoulders. Both of them were in a daze as they stared at the window while Magnus took in her features under his chin. Just as they were about to pass by the gate, someone had rushed and the carriage stopped.
Magnus raised his eyebrows and rolled open the window of the left side, finding a familiar face that had made him to frown. Estelle didn't know what happened as she broke from her daze belatedly. She noted his expression before turning to the window and saw the face of Lady Gladys standing while banging the door of the carriage with her fists.
Gone was the woman's elegance and haughty pride. Her face was marred with ire and worry. Estelle could tell what had happened, what this woman wanted from her and what she had came for.
