As soon as the Vernon Mansion was burned down, the family moved into a house that was quite far from the capital. It was still a house belonging to the Vernon's, however they have lost most of their resources in the fire, and some knights could barley retrieve anything important causing them to only be able to save Lady Gladys and Caroline safely.
Caroline however was distraught. Seeing her house burned down, more than happy she was saved from the fire, she yelled fiercely, crying and begging to be left in her room as she feared if she left and broke the promise, the frightening angel of death will come and kill her in a way worse than being burned alive.
However the knights managed to forcefully brought her out and now she began to lock herself in her room.
