Sir Evantine stared at Nicholas, his eyes peering in such a gaze as if he was judging whether to lift his resting sword or to swung it over to his direction. Nicholas pushed Timothy behind him again, "Be careful."
Timmy who was overwhelmed understood almost immediately the threat that came from Sir Evantine. The way he had walked toward them was akin to how a predator was eyeing its prey. He knew it, especially living in the slums and seeing all those criminals, Timmy could tell Evantine didn't came for a tea and a chat.
"It's late as you said, thus why you two are here and having a quarrel?" Evantine asked but his voice demand for an answer rather than a question to inquire.
