Arthur was silent. In fact he wasn't silent because he couldn't find words to let out from his mouth. Instead he just nonchalantly thinking whether to answer the question Old John had asked or not. He hummed for a moment and then crossed his arms. Both the tall Evanatine standing behind him with the black cladded maid was oddly unnerving.
"I remember the night before you brought my Solina out of my mansion. I remembered you came to my study room at night to ask me a question. What was it? What did you asked me again?" Arthur hummed as if trying to remember. It was twenty years ago, most people would have forgot the details of words that had left their mouth but Old John didn't forget the question he had asked that time.
"Ah," Arthur said. "I remember. You asked me Why did I choose to ask my parents to adopt you, didn't you? There were quite the many other boys of your age, younger even, those smarter, better looking, and not as scrawny as you."
