Magnus exhaled. He felt his heart heavy for the first time. He never felt this even when he killed that father of his, but seeing Elle so pallid and asleep as if to run away from her problems made him worried. He slowly made his way back to the chair beside her bed which he had sat on for hours to days while waiting for her golden eyes to open again.
"Is there something unsatisfactory for you?" Magnus began to speak. He knew Estelle couldn't hear him but ever since she had fallen into this deep sleep, he found himself talking to her as if to negotiate terms so she would open her eyes.
