The people fell into chaos as the party was end short. The rest of the families were confused as after the time the Lord had left he didn't come back again until the butler arrived and break the news of how the ball has ended. The nobles were in shock and some that's more brave demanded for answers straight from the butler. In turn the butler replied passively, saying how there had been an incident that attempted to take the Lord's life and now the Lord is taking care of the aftermath.
They were horrified to find out that someone had dared to hurt the Lord and looked amongst each other who would be able to do so and why. The Marquis was annoyed as he thought that this would be the chance for Mavis to make her name but it ended badly on their half. Meanwhile Mavis was more irked to know that her brother couldn't ask Estelle why she hadn't said the truth, feeling both jealous she managed to get the Lord's attention as well as feeling betrayed.
