Estelle stifled her breathes. She couldn't let even the noise of her breath to be heard as the men walks nearer to the side of the wall she had tried carefully to hide behind of. She could hear the sound of grass being crunched, the sound of the whispers and curses uttered by the Baron's servant who didn't want to suffer punishment if they couldn't find the single girl.
Elle on the other hand knew she had to find the way out. It was dark and she was in a rush. She didn't know what paths she had taken but she wasn't too sure if there was a way out either. In a way she knew that she would be able to find a way out from the path she had taken but she wasn't too certain if the maze had another place of exit.
Waiting for the men to leave, Elle finally saw how most of the light behind her wall had disappeared, meaning that they have left. Quickly, Elle walked barefooted that worked out for her to cancel all the noise her steps could make.
