She let him get to her, again.
" Let me guess, Alpha problems again. As much as I want to tell you that you should stop letting him get to you. I can't, because every thing he says would matter because you are his mate. It's part of the bond "

" Who else could you talk to ? I know you think that you've changed but I know you are still in there Elise. You're just scared of hurting, so you shut it out but it's . . . .okay to hurt. You can talk to me okay, I'm always here for you. We are both my brother's victims, so it's best if we rely on each other more often"
Elisa stares at him for a while and suddenly bursts into laughter. He looks at her confused, then she suddenly stops laughing and frowns
" Thank you, Vincent for such a lovely speech on my social standing and predicament . . . "
" No Elise, you've got it wrong. That's not what I . . . "
" Save it, I don't want to hear it. You know what ? I, not having anyone to talk to, doesn't mean I have to stand here and listen to you. ", she heads for the exit in anger.
" Oh, and . . . ", she halts. " You are no different from Niklaus. You both manipulate people to get what you want, then desert them. He's actually better than you, at least he isn't being a friggin' hypocrite about it. So you can save your petty speeches on my change in attitude, maybe you just don't fancy the fact that I won't let you manipulate me anymore. In fact, I have issues of my own and I doubt I am any state of mind to offer you any aid as regards to your sister "
" What ? ".
" I'm not obliged to do anything for you and I don't see any reason to help. Besides, it seems you only saved me, so you could use me to get yourself back here. So better stay away, I don't have the luxury of time to care what you think of me"
" You care Elise, you just have to see it but I'm afraid being with my brother has taken a toll on you. But I can help you overcome him if you let me. Besides I'm sure you hate Niklaus more than you do me, so helping me to save my sister can be a way of getting back at him for all he has done to you" she looks at him and scoffs.
" You are truly as proud, looks like it runs in your blood. I'm only going to find her because I want to get back at Niklaus and as for you, to get back at you, who knows maybe I'd just kill her and drown whatever is left of her in the Mississippi, all while you watch me do it "
She leaves him dazed, even more uncertain about where to go to, she decides to go back to the bedroom. She has had enough of those two brothers for one night. She walks into the room and notices Niklaus had regained most of his complexion.
But why should she care ?
" It's time to go to bed love " she ignores him and heads over to her side of the bed. " Are you still upset over a little joke " she continues to ignore him, not even sparing him another glance.
He climbs out of the bed and walks up to her. She turns to leave but he takes hold of her hand.
" I've said many things that I don't mean, so don't take it to heart. You can get really . . . Nevermind"
" It's that your way of apologizing? How very sincere. Anything else you would like to say ? Do tell "
" I meant what I just said. I may not look the part but I actually don't mean to speak harshly to you .
. . "
" But you do. So please enlighten me, what exactly are you apologizing for ? For calling me a slut ? Or for calling your slave ? Oh, maybe it could be for the fact you tell me every single day how much I disgust you ? Or could it be for locking up in this place with someone like yourself ? Or ? There's definitely more, do remind me the lot of them "
" I've done a lot of bad things, you don't have to be so whiny about it. On the plus side, my attitude has kept me this long, I don't need to change it. Besides you don't really want me to be all meek and boring or you might never get to know how she died ", Elisa freezes, for a moment she stares intently at him, having a lot to say but she says nothing in the end. She walks passes him and lays on the bed, shutting her eyes.
Niklaus stands still for a moment, he turns towards her, stares at her for a while before lying down on the bed.

Elisa wakes with a splitting headache.
Did something happen last night ? she couldn't help asking herself.
All she recalls is that after ' the Rumbling ' and the obvious fact that Niklaus was avoiding her, she met him in the bedroom. And then blank. Next thing is, she's waking up from sleep with a splitting headache.
Did I speak to him ?
She couldn't remember, she had to find Niklaus . What happened that made her sleep, all through noon and night. She had to find Niklaus and know the reason he was avoiding her after they almost . . . .
She walks out of the bedroom but finds Fred on his way down.
" Vincent! Wait !"
He looks at her bewildered at her sudden change in attitude. He recalls what had happen last night and decided to ignore her but she starts to chase after him, screaming his name. He decides to stop and listen to whatever insult she was going to rain on him this time.
" Vincent, what's wrong. You've been ignoring me and I really need to speak with y. . . "
" ' What's wrong ? ' I'm not in the mood to listen to whatever you have to say thitime. I can't save you, if you don't want to be saved. So you are free to do whatsoever pleases you but don't you dare lay a finger on my sister "
" What ? I'll never hurt her, why are you saying such things "
He looks at her and she looked genuinely confused. Was this another plot of hers ?

Hello Lovelies,
I will trying my best to leave an author's note at the end of every chapter.
According to my schedule, I would only be able to drop updates at least twice a week.

Back to the book, a lot of friends have been dropping a few suggestions on how I should characterize our beloved leads. Some have pointed out that Elisa should be more caring to go with Niklaus' character while some like her new attitude.
With this Chapter, I'm sure she's now probably viewed a
s a two - faced bi***. Guess we'll just have to find out.
