The moment she sets foot into the island, he senses her presence but refused to go to her. He decides to await her patiently and note her decision, if she had decided to abandon him like the rest.
He sits in his bedroom, concentrating, feeling her every movement and for each step she takes towards the mansion he takes a breath of relief.
Elisa glances backwards every once in a while, she feels someone's eyes on her. She refuses to brush it off although no one looks suspicious.
" Fred, someone's watching us, I can feel it ", he looks back and looks round but sees no one suspicious. Suddenly he smiles. Elisa notices it and looks confused.
' We are being watched an he's smiling ? ', she says to herself.
" Fred ? What's wrong "
" He knows we are here ", he says the smile not leaving his face. " At least he knows you are "
" He's watching me ? "
" Not physically, it's an old trick, don't worry about it. It's a good sign that he knows and hasn't taken any action yet. He must want to know your stance and if you actually intend to leave him ".
" I wish, I could ", she mutters.
" You don't wish that and you know it . You could run but no matter how far you go, you'll always be drawn to him like you are now. "
" Can you not say that to me, it's really creepy ",he laughs but she doesn't find it funny, especially since she could be anywhere but on her way back to Niklaus but she still finds herself going back to him.
" Before we head back, I need to take you somewhere ",he says puling her in another direction.
They arrive at what seems like a really old building and he takes her inside.
" What are we doing here ?"
" Before, you go back, I need you to read some stuffs about our father, this is an ancient supernatural library. It might be old but our father is quite the legend and has made the books "
He takes her to a particular section that seems to be filled with documentaries of different Alpha's. He pull out a really big book that unlike the rest doesn't look so old.
" Do I have to read this ? Can't you just tell me the type of person your father was ? And why are you suddenly telling me about your father, he's yours not mine "
" I want you to learn why Niklaus is the way he is, although being ruthless has no excuse but he hasn't always been that way. He used to be the sweetest child , it'll help you think of what to say to him "
" Not like I care to know but I know you'll still make me read these anyway. Must I read ? I mean, you could just tell me "
" There is another way but it's quite painful and horrifying ", she looks at him indecisively and then looks at the size of the book.
" I think I'll go with pain ", she finally makes her decision and he chuckles.
" It was your choice don't forget ", she nods l.
He takes her to a secluded part of the library. They sit down on a bench a he takes her hand.
" Now I want you to chant this spell with me ' dmïñ pésñós rè ' ", she nods and they both close their eyes and begin the chant.
She feels like she could look into his eyes and see what he has seen but she could only see darkness and the fact he's inside her mind is causing her unbearable pain as she screams her lungs out .
" Don't fight it let me in, it'll make the pain bearable ", she tries her best not to fight it as doing that doesn't seem so easy. With time the pain eases . . .
Suddenly she sees some rays of light. She sees Niklaus, at least a younger version of him tied up. He's on his knees looking like he's bees starved for weeks probably months.
" Brother help me", he calls out but no one says anything. Soon a man walks in, he begins to scourge Niklaus as he screams in pain, she whimpers at the sight before her.
She also sees other different things but they just come as flashes and in all of them, Niklaus looked like he barely survive. Soon she returns to reality.
" No, I have to see it, all if it " she says unable to insert what she has just seen.
" I can't let you, the spell is tearing you apart . . . .inside - out "
She suddenly feels something and touches her nose and realizes it's bleeding. She looks up at Fred, pain, tears, fright evident in her eyes.
" Bloody Hell! "
" No one deserved what he got . . . . No one ! My brother isn't bad, he was made that way. So I need you to understand him. My return bears no intention of hurting him. I don't think anyone would be capable of hurting him the way you will ", he says and gets up, then performs a spell that changes his facial appearance before heading for the library exit. She follows him from behind.
They arrive at the Alpha mansion and stand for a while at the gate that is a little distant from the main structure.
" Hey , from now onwards call me Finn ", she nods.
The moment she's about to open the main door. It suddenly opens and they see a figure before them. She looks up . . . .
" Niklaus ? "
He stands there staring at them with a victorious smirk on his lips.
" What a surprising visit, Elisa dearest. And look . . . . Isn't he one of your many visitors ",he says in a sarcastic tone, anger and relief evident in his eyes.
" Come in, why don't you ", he gestures for them to enter inside. Elisa walks in and so does Fred. Niklaus perceives a familiar scent from Fred but remains silent about it.
" Prepare a warm bath for my Lady and our - oh , don't forget our guest, it must have been a long journey", he says to Vatler and heads for his room. They look at each other, Elisa seems shocked but Fred wears a smile.
