When Surya looked at his hand, he was shocked to see that some part of his left arm, from fingers to wrist, was gone. Even more surprisingly, he didn't feel anything until now when people started staring at his left arm.
"How is this even possible? I didn't feel anything happening to my left arm. Is this the reason why my spiritual attack had less than half of its original strength?" This was the thought of Surya. Then he remembered that while avoiding Asura's spiritual attack, some part of that attack had touched his left arm, but he didn't care about it because he didn't feel anything abnormal happening to his body.
He glanced at the Asura who was taken to the medical room by the medical team, with murderous intentions hidden very skillfully.
"Just you wait, I will give you a miserable death. Not only you, but your whole family is going to die because of you," he muttered to himself.
As the medical team attended to Surya's injury, they were perplexed by what they saw. It seemed as though the missing part of his left arm had vanished into thin air, leaving behind a perfectly smooth and clean wound. They had never encountered anything like this before and couldn't explain how it had happened.
The tournament was over, and everybody went to their respective places. Asura's mother and sister wanted to stay with him because his condition was very critical, and he might even die if not treated carefully. The medical team tried to persuade them to go home, but they refused. They only left when they heard that he was out of danger and only needed rest to recover. However, they promised to return the next day before leaving.
Surya was released from the medical room within a day because the medical team did not find any abnormalities in his body except for the loss of part of his left arm.
The first thing he did after being discharged was to follow Asura's family. When Asura's mother and sister were a few miles away from their home and nobody else was around, he decided to capture them.
His thought was that he would capture them and kill them in front of Asura's eyes once Asura had fully recovered. He wanted to see the fear on Asura's face when Surya was about to kill his family. He wanted to see Asura grieve when his mother and sister died in front of him. He wanted to enjoy Asura's despair to take revenge for the loss of part of his left arm.
Then he wanted to torture him to his heart's content. After satisfying his heart, he would kill Asura with these thoughts in his mind, He went forward toward Asura's family, but just as he was about to capture them, he was held by the wrist of the right arm by an elder who disguised his face. The elder was quite powerful; he made Surya unable to move even an inch.
The elder asked, "Young fellow, is it good to attack family members if there's a grudge between young cultivators?"
Surya didn't reply and asked, "Who are you, and why are you blocking my way?"
The elder replied, "Who I am, you don't need to know. All you need to know is that if you take any step forward, you will certainly die. Even the Li family won't be able to do anything about it if you die at my hands. So, leave quickly." After saying that, the elder disappeared from the place, and Surya regained his freedom.
He had a chill in his spine because that person knew his relationship with the Li family. After some consideration, he gritted his teeth and left that place. Xie Ling and Asura's mother, not knowing anything, went back to their home safely.
After everything was over, that elder reappeared in that place, but this time, his face was not hidden. He looked in the direction where Surya fled and said, "I wanted to kill you personally because you dared to poison my disciple, but your sinister plan actually helped Su Lin to become stronger. Now, she will be able to kill you personally when she fully recovers. So, all I can do is to deal with the Li family." After saying that much, he disappeared again.
In a certain cave, a beautiful figure was submerged in a small pond. The pond had crystal clear water, but after some time, it became purple in color due to the release of poison from that beautiful figure. Her eyes were closed, as if she was in a meditative state, and spiritual energy was circulating throughout her body. That spiritual energy was the purest anyone could find.
She opened her eyes but remained in a meditative state. She was none other than Su Lin. She was still in the third level of the spiritual realm, but her foundation had become more solid, comparable to Asura's. Her spiritual energy was purer than that of any other cultivator in the same realm.
After meditating in the pond for a week, she stepped out, dressed up and came out of that cave. Outside, she saw a figure who was her master. She saluted, "Disciple greets master."
Su Lin's master nodded and said, "Let's go take a stroll." Su Lin nodded without asking where her master was taking her for a stroll.
