Chapter 31 - Defeating an Arrogant bastard

Asura was going to rest but after seeing Su Lin's match he started to observe every match with Kallu.

Asura and Kallu watched the matches unfold, analyzing the fighters' techniques and strategies, and learning from their strengths and weaknesses. They took mental notes, discussing and debating their observations, deepening their understanding of martial arts and cultivation.

As the competition progressed, Asura found himself more and more impressed by the talent displayed by the other cultivators. Some were masters of hand-to-hand combat Battle Skills, while others wielded powerful elemental Battle skills. Each match was a thrilling display of skill and determination.

After almost two hours of Asura fighting, it was his turn again. This time his opponent was the cultivator who won the ninth place in the Temper Realm in the previous year. Now his present cultivation was of the second stage spiritual realm like Asura but he was at the peak of the second stage spiritual realm whereas Asura had just stabilized his cultivation base.

Their fight started and the match was intense but again this time Asura won with his battle skill against the opponent's spiritual attack. Xie Ling again shouted loud when his big brother won again.

Asura returned to his seat where Kallu and Xie Ling were waiting for him.

Xie Ling said excitedly, "Big brother, you won again with your battle skill!"

Asura replied, "I told you, didn't I?"

Then Kallu said, "Brother Asura, your Battle skill are truly amazing. When the tournament is over, let's find some time to test our Battle skills. I don't believe my Running Bull skill is much inferior to your Heaven Breaking Fist."

Asura replied, "Of course, why not?" Asura was also fired up as Kallu was very eager for their sparring match.

Now they turned their heads toward the stage as it was again Su Lin's turn to fight and they didn't want to miss it.

As Su Lin stepped onto the stage to face her opponent, her opponent Monty also stepped in, and the atmosphere in the arena became charged with anticipation. Monty was a cultivator known for his arrogance and overbearing nature, and many spectators were curious to see how Su Lin would handle such a challenging opponent.

Monty sneered at Su Lin, looking down on her with disdain. "You think you stand a chance against me?" he taunted. "I am Monty, the one who defeated all the weaklings in the Temper Realm last year. You should feel honored to face me. oh! I remember you are also one of those weaklings I defeated in the previous year."

Last year, although Su Lin was defeated by Monty, he was two stages above her in the Temper Realm. However, he shamelessly called her a "weakling" even though Su Lin gave him a serious fight though she was two levels lower than him. This shows how arrogant he was.

Su Lin remained calm, not letting his words affect her composure. She knew that arrogance often led to underestimating one's opponent, and she would use that to her advantage.

The match began, and Monty wasted no time, launching a fierce offensive with his powerful Battle Skill. However, Su Lin gracefully evaded his attacks, displaying her agility and quick reflexes. With every move, she countered his strikes, proving that she was no ordinary opponent.

Asura and Kallu watched in awe as Su Lin's battle prowess unfolded before their eyes. Her control over the "Rainbow Beam" was flawless, and she used it with precision, leaving Monty struggling to keep up.

Despite his initial arrogance, Monty soon realized that Su Lin was a force to be reckoned with. He grew increasingly frustrated, trying to overpower her with brute force alone. However, Su Lin's strategic brilliance and adaptability allowed her to stay one step ahead.

Su Lin's attack style was fluid and graceful, her movements like a dance as she weaved through Monty's assault. She combined the power of her "Rainbow Beam" with agile footwork, creating an elegant and deadly combination.

Monty's frustration turned into anger as Su Lin's calm demeanor seemed to mock him. He became reckless in his attacks, leaving openings for Su Lin to exploit.

Seizing the opportunity, Su Lin unleashed a series of precise strikes, exploiting Monty's weaknesses. With a final surge of spiritual energy, she directed the "Rainbow Beam" straight at Monty.

The audience held their breath as the concentrated beam of rainbow-hued power shot forward like a brilliant arrow. Monty attempted to counter, but Su Lin's attack was too fast and precise. The "Rainbow Beam" hit its mark, and Monty was knocked back, defeated.

The arena erupted into cheers as Su Lin emerged victorious, showcasing her strength, skill, and poise. Even those who had doubted her before now acknowledged her as a formidable contender.

Asura and Kallu exchanged impressed glances, both recognizing the incredible talent Su Lin possessed. Asura was excited about the prospect of sparring with her in the future, eager to test his own abilities against her formidable skills.

After the match, Su Lin wanted to go to her resting place but she walked back to where Asura was, her head held high. She greeted Asura, Kallu, and Xie Ling with a smile, appreciating their support and encouragement.

Kallu complimented her, "Su Lin, that was an amazing display of power and technique. Monty may have been arrogant, but you showed him that humility and true skill go hand in hand."

Asura added, "Indeed, your 'Rainbow Beam' is a sight to behold. It was a pleasure to witness such a masterful use of a spiritual attack."

Su Lin thanked them graciously, "Your kind words mean a lot to me. I'm glad to have friends like you who appreciate the art of cultivation."

Then she left in a hurry after saying goodbye. When she entered her apartment room, her face became red like an apple; she was really happy with Asura's compliments but she didn't dare show this face to him, so she immediately left. After some time, she adjusted her mind and tried to recover her peak condition before her next match.
