When I woke, I had no idea how long I'd been out. My awakening was less than pleasant, as someone dumped water onto my face and body. "Get up you lazy bum! Or I'll kill you!" a voice snarled.
A guy, oozing arrogance, aimed a kick at my face. I barely dodged, pushing myself to sit up. He sneered at me. "New slave, you will serve the 28 inner disciples of Bamboo Peak." He gestured towards a hill with caves scattered from the bottom to the peak. "Understood?"
Understood? Can't he see I'm in agony right now? My bones feel like they're splitting!
