Luna did not stop running for hours until night fell. Exhausted and wanting to rest, he resisted knowing that his abductors might catch up to him. He kept going until the sun rose once more, at which point, he would only pause to gather some fruit and listened to the sound of flowing water to quench his thirst.
As he drank some water, he transformed back into his human form and took a quick bath in the river. Afterward, he transformed into his fox form again, as he had nothing on due to the fact that he was naked, his dirty clothes the only thing left on the cold cage he once laid on. Using his fox form, the fur covering his body provided him with some much-needed warmth.
He then continued running, only stopping when he felt hungry or thirsty. Yet Luna still struggled, even though he had learned a lot from Beth, he didn't realize how challenging it would be to survive on his own.
